Still farming and cutting videos for a garbage company.
TH-cam and drones were hobbies that got back burner as kids became little more than handfuls

bicycle helmet, brilliant! I have the same story as yours riding in my Dad's 1086! With respect to lifting your bale pickup when turning: you can adjust it up or down by rotating the lift cylinder rod - the clevis that's on end is threaded, all you have to do is loosen the clamping screw and spin it with the two flats on either side with your adjustable. Manual suggest having it running and inch or so off the ground.

Put a piece of welded wire fencing 5 x 8 ft on tier 5 then you won't need any tie tiers. Saw it on TH-cam tried it myself works great.

sounds like great ideas. I'll def have to try the fence idea since i have a few piles lying around the farm. we did get our cable fixed for the bale pickup handle so thats mounted in the cab now. makes a big difference

Hi I just bought a 1034 just like the one in this video. When I was testing the manual controls all the tables worked. Before starting I noticed the load rack was all the way in the rear I pulled the load rack control to bring it to the front to starting position. When I picked up the first three bales the first table did not engage. I tried to manually engage the second table and the controls do not engage it eithe. Any ideas or throughts as to what could be the cause ? I feel like I’m missing something in the sequence of operation or tripped a locking mechanism to the hydraulic system. Any pointers would be

Try routing the shoot cylinder and drive motor to the tractor hydraulics. Then you wouldn't have to be turned around all the time. The rest of the wagon should work normal. You can get the remote control to mount in the cab too.

We just bought a 1038 wagon. We were doing some work on it and we raised the second table up and now we can't get it to come down. Any thoughts?

Check to see if all other levers and valves they are attached to are in neutral position. Sometimes a different hydraulic action can hold one up.
On Facebook look up the Balewagon group. A lot of people troubleshooting balewagons

Does the auto tie not work on the bale wagon? since you have to get out and manually set the tie.
and I also saw that you tie a whole layer. For us our bales are a little longer so we can put 2 vertical on outsides and 3 sets of 2 bales horizontal in between the two vertical then finish off the layer/table with 2 more rows 3 wide, still does a good job tying that way for us. always stays tight, and we have our side walls on our bale wagon moved in so when the 2nd table goes up with a layer, the bales stay firm and tight in the stack, and don't lean like your did in the video.
Good video though, enjoy watching the small square new holland videos

we've done things a little different since this vid. we now pack onto a pallet and dont do any tie layers. i throw a fence panel in between the layers on the 4th layer. it seems to make the sturdiest stack so far.

@@nathanashley236 "floppy field fence". We may be using different words for same thing. They are easy to cut w bolt cutter and bend the ends to create a point that stabs into hay
