  • 📚💔 June Reading Wrap-Up: A Fantasy Romance Struggle
Hello, book lovers! Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I’m sharing all the books I tackled in June. It was a challenging month for reading, with a lot of fantasy romance on my list, but unfortunately, not many stood out or made a significant impact on me. Let's dive into what I read and why these books didn't quite hit the mark.

Oh my goodness, I completely agree with the audio of Leather and Lark! The laughing was horrible. I think I would have liked the book better if I had read it physically. I listened to it at about 1.5 speed and the laughter was still super weird. I’m just glad I’m not the only one that thought it was odd.

I loved A Court This Cruel and Lovely! I even bought the second one and I’m hoping to read it soon. Too bad you didn’t love Trial of the Sun Queen. I’ve been Buddy reading the series and really enjoying it. I’ll be reading the third book for July and I’m excited.

You and I usually like the same book so I can't believe you did not like the Trial of the Sun Queen, seeing that I liked it. The third book just released last month and I have to read that one. If you did not like the first book (Trial of the Sun Queen) then you probably will not like the second book. I hope July is a better reading month for you.

I appreciate your honest reviews ❤ if you didn't vibe with a book or several that is ok! I have so many books I want to read and hearing your honest reviews can help me prioritize what to read next.

I read a dawn of onyx and then a court is cruel and lovely right after and I was constantly lost as to which story line I was following! However loved cruel and lovely and am reading book 2 now

My favourite reads last month were When the Moon Hatched and Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home. It wasn't the greatest reading month for me either though. I feel like there has just been too much going on workwise to properly let go and sink into another world. Fingers crossed July will be awesome. 😊

Right now I am reading a Peter Pan retelling called Losing Neverland By Evelyn Montgomery and it is good so far.
If you haven't read it you might wanna give it ago

I loved A Court This Cruel and Lovely (I rated the first one 4 stars), but I also listened to the entire series, and the narration, particularly the female, was fantastic. Fun fact, the female narrator recommended this series to her partner, who normally doesn't read romantasy, and they loved it also. That's neither here nor there I just thought it was a fun fact to share lol.

Hey ☺️ I’m hoping yourself or someone in here could help me haha ! I am a lover of dark romance 🙈 that’s my go to genre , however I’m desperate to try fantasy to mix it up! I wondered if there was any recommendations for a romance fantasy that is an easy read, I really don’t want to go straight into something that’s going to be to difficult to get my head around if that’s makes sense ☺️🖤

the singing didnt bother me but the giggles were TERRIBLE at higher speed. i did slow it down to 1.5 speed and it was fine then.

Maybe that's why the laughs didn't bother me. I was listening at 1.5. I still thought they were noticeable and a bit odd, but so too is Lark. 😅

A Court This Cruel and Lovely I had to DNF. The pacing wasn't great for me, didn't connect to the characters. Felt it was rushed in some parts and slow in others.
