Loving this boys, I rode it in a heatwave April 2019, self supported and wild camped for 4 nights, 5 days riding. It was the most epic multi day ride I've ever done and it's on our doorstep in the UK. It's got to be seen/ridden to be believed. Superb memories that you have very nicely reminded me of with these great little videos. Keep it up and if you're struggling reach for the Scottish Tablet 👌 (or Irn Bru)
My brother and I just finished the nc500 today! Absolutely pooped but will be watching these films again to remember all the wee bits.

These videos are bringing back great memories for me, I did this 3 years ago. You’re in for a treat tomorrow, the descent into Durness is something else. Huge wide valley and kamikaze sheep. I had a tailwind and was over 40mph for miles and miles!

Meanwhile here in Pound Ridge, NY we went to full on summer---- 30 C and sunny for my last 100 K ride. Thank God places are now open for rest breaks & refueling.

I love the wi mad road to Lochinver - one of my all time favourite cycling loops from Ullapool - I have also climbed (mountaineering - mostly winter) all the hills on your route!

G'day Lawrence, first of all, LOVE this series and your content in general, big fan!! I was just watching this series again for like the 5th time because it just makes me remember why I personally fell in love with cycling. The cinematics and the music especially are just so captivating and gives me that "feel-good" feeling every time. Quick question if I may, what song did you use at 10:20?. Just my laptop and chargers. (And a lock in case). Normally of course I’d have had to carry it all.
what time of year did you travel, we have a small group going first week of september.
We did this straight out of lockdown, I think it was early April time 😎 you will love it.

You've been in the city too long mate, there is nothing special or unusual about fighter jets wizzing around Scotland or the Lake District, my parents live on a farm in the Snowdonian mountains, and military jets are almost a daily thing, have been since the end of WW2.

We totally could have done it all on our own and basically did. We also couldn’t have got any of the photography we did without Alex. Plus it’s nice to have one dry set of kit just in case it all goes wrong 🤪

Why do you guys hate snow so much? I find it better to ride with snow in your face than during a bloody shower, at least you don't get so wet.
Yes it’s true. But snow means cold and when snow melts = cold and wet 🥶
@@bbikerlawrence well, yeah, but good half of it just bounces off you before it melts. And if it is cold enough to be either snow or rain it means it is pretty cold whichever of them arrives)
