If I remember right there’s a bit of a climb from Lochcarron over to the foot of the Bealach Na Bà / Applecross climb, and then the constant up and down around the Applecross peninsula after the climb is brutal!
Even though I’ve only ridden it once, this climb holds huge significance for me. I started riding in spring 2012, and tackled this about 1 year later in 2013. It sparked my real love for cycling, I even got it tattooed on my left arm shortly after I broke my left wrist in a bike crash… my cycling highlight tattooed over my lowest cycling moment…
Unfortunately my friend who got me into cycling, who convinced me to do this climb, and took me on the ride, died as a result of suicide a couple of years ago which affected me so much.
I’d love to do the ride again now that I’m a better cyclist, and as a tribute to my friend.

The climb is called the Bealach Na Ba which takes you over to Applecross on the other side. Some times referred to as the Applecross pass but BNB is its proper call sign.

Riding that stretch further up the west coast early in the morning gives some of the most incredible sunrise views over the rugged coast line. I'd love to ride that west coast again (without the midges!)

The road to Applecross is amazing. I done this a few times in my orginal mini cooper. Both Directions on seperate days. It just reminds me of an alpine road.

Another awesome vid man, thank you! How easy it to find food/drink along the route? Doing it solo so a bit worried about that!
The further round you get the easier it becomes, but certainly the first few days I’d recommend being prepared at carrying dinner. A lot of the little villages don’t have pubs or corner shops, and if they do a lot of them close at funny times

I'm always envious seeing you guys in short sleeves in March. Its a different story up North, we are lucky to get short sleeves for June/July/August.;-) Its good to see the road into Applecross, Bealach na Bà was tuff for you guys too. It about killed me!!! Always harder with bikes fully loaded.
I struggled up that road in my car! Welll done guys. Applecross is lovely though. I hope the Inn was open.

Don't your hands get cold? If it's 6C at 30 kph I would have gloves. LC, I don't know how you keep a grip on that 360 cam pole on climbs and descents...practice I guess.

The daily vlogs are okay but you really excel at the cycling adventures vlogs! Question: if you have a support car why are you all lugging around all those bags on the bikes?
It’s not really bike packing if you don’t carry anything, just back to back rides. Here for the adventure, not speed.
