Are you an attorney, Dim Bulb? I'm thinking no. No attorney or judge knows every single piece of case law. That's why firms and courts have law libraries. Even if familiar with a particular case, you would still look it up as a matter of routine. These are just a bunch of "gotcha" questions designed to put the woman on the spot and make Hawley looks smart.

Asking relevent case law isn't just a bunch of "gotcha" questions. She clearly knows NOTHING about MAJOR case law, that's why he's asking.
At least he didn't ask her what her religious background is (which would be illegal), then run to the media to spin hyperbole, like democrats do.

@@hawkeyeted Sorry to disappoint, but, yes. Attorney here. Passed the bar and the whole nine yards. Former public defender, former assistant prosecutor, state, then federal. Now in private practice.
It's not that she knows nothing about "major case law", as you put it. It's about her continually indicating to him what her wheelhouse has been and him ignoring that and continually peppering her with irrelevant questions well outside the scope of her previous practices. Think of it as if you are a cardiologist and I keep asking you to explain nephrology principles and techniques. The guy is just show boating and she's trying to be nice about it. @@michaelseidenberg2323 Hawley has voted no on everyone he said he has reservations about. He has actively fought against those he sees as being deceptive or being to partisan. The ones he has approved were the ones who answered his questions and addressed openly their previous partisan actions. We need judges who will be honest, even if that honesty shows a very partisan past. Because if they can admit to being partisan publicly they will if needed recuse themselves. If they can not be honest about partisan pasts then they will not honestly evaluate their ability to fairly judge a case.
