Ollie attempts using new jumping technique

I have spent hundreds of hours over the last 10 years trying to learn ollies. I have always had a feeling that I was "jumping the wrong way" or rather that the secret of ollies lies in the jump. A few days ago I was watching a Japanese ollie tutorial and noticed that the guy in the video jumped a certain way. That made me realise that there might be another way to jump than I have tried before. I still haven't mastered this jumping technique without the board, and even less so on the board, but I still felt I made some progress. Or at least got different result than I usually do.
