- In this toy restoration video I take a few tips from the old show and apply it to a Tonka! I start with a completely rusted out Tonka Pick-up that was bound for the trash, and restore it to a showcase ready display piece!

Loved the sound effects, especially the bird 🤣. Beautiful work once again. How many of us out there are salivating at the opportunity to have the fabrication skills you possess? I’m a former aircraft mechanic, so I can especially appreciate the sheet metal work, the sandblasting skills, the rivet process, the ability to compensate, and so on. The only process in need of refinement is the anti-corrosion implementation process. With a little ingenuity, determination and skill, there isn’t much one can’t do. You’re site is a nice place to visit for a splendid opportunity to escape from the hardships in life. Congratulations and keep them coming. I’m always looking for an opportunity to escape reality for a few minutes in this crazy world of ours. To me this is raw entertainment at its best.
Every time you show the sand blaster and all little kids cheer it always cracks me up and makes me laugh

When you put "pimped" in the title, I was expecting chopped and channeled, Lake Pipes, dished rims, and a raked front end....excellent work! Best wishes and stay healthy my brother.
I was expecting a swimming pool in the tray and TVs underneath the cab.
Shorter stacks would look better, like in line with the cab.

I understand it’s easy to armchair pint out mistakes, but with all the work your doin, I was wondering why you didn’t paint the bed liner parts separately before screwing them together? I figure you know it’s going to rust but if you even apply just a coat of promise between those parts it’ll last longer.

Enjoyed the restoration process but the mismatched bed and cab makes it look like billy sues truck from down the holler. Otherwise great work.
Some guys are "Do It Right Donny" some guys are "Buy It With Dads Money Chad" and some guys are "Billy Sue From Down The Holler" LOL 😄

I've seen other restorers use simple green or oxy clean on the plastic parts.. breaks up the rust stains pretty good... love the custom touches.. nice job 👍

Was this once a tow truck? I had a large Tonka tow truck with an orange body, and this reminds me of it. If memory serves, it had two cranes.

Great work! My style only...I would have left the exterior all green. Paint the inside of bed (like bedliner) and interior black.
Painting the tonka on the tires white would look good. White also makes a great accent color (for stripes) for this type of green.
