    If you are wanting to make your squares bigger, just follow the same sequence for each round.
    You'll always have 2dc, ch2, 2dc in the corners and your dc's on the sides will increase incrementally (7, 11, 15...).

    The size of your square and making 365 is quite the dance to get a measurement you like. My squares are roughly 2.25 inches which will produce a lap blanket size . If you want yours to be bigger, then I would recommend you make 3 rounds or increase your hook size to help you make a square that is closer to 3 inches.
    Originally I planned on making my blanket approx. 48" x 60" inches with 24 squares for the first row. My math was screwy so I've reconfigured it and will start with 16 to 18 squares for Row 1. This should give me a 36" x 46" blanket based on the size of my squares.
    Here are some amounts to help get you started if you're trying to figure out how many squares you need. This is just a way to help you gauge. There are many combos to try.
    16 squares width 18 squares width
    23 squares height 20 squares height
    (368 squares) (360 squares)
    I'll keep you updated but I think this is a good start. I can easily add to the width later if necessary.

    This is a super easy square that is ideal if you're making a Mood or Temperature Blanket this year. I'll be making a mood one and share updates throughout the next 365 days. I hope you'll join me. I've tried to make it as easy and sustainable as possible.

    Biggest hugs omg finally a solid join as you go granny!! Have a lot of remnants that are gonna look best as squares but I was not wanting to sew them all together, guess I’ll finally be stash busting.

    What a wonderful idea!!! Having just completed my l5th granny square blanket in December, I am all grannied out. I have several little balls of yarn leftover that would be perfect for this project (for ME!) and will not take forever to make in one sitting. I was just looking at my stash and quickly shoved it to the back of the closet LOL!! I have a bunch of these in my late mother's stash (an avid crocheter) so perhaps I can eventually add those to my project. Thank you for the inspiration!

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you asking me to do a video with that stitch or are you asking if you can use that pattern for your mood blanket? If you’re asking for your mood blanket then absolutely! You can make it however speaks to YOUR mood.
      But if you’re asking about that pattern … not sure … I have a video that does indeed incorporate a heart stitch that I plan on doing before Valentine’s Day.

    Happy new-year Roz . I like the idea of joining the squares as you go , but I've never heard.of a mood blanket . Can you please explain ? because I'm thinking something different . I also like the idea of binding off with the wide eyed 👀 yarn needle it looks really neat.

    Hello! I'm confused on how to join the yellow square to the blue using the rope effect method. (Criss cross part) I went into last stitch, chained one, took off yarn and inserted hook into corner space, brought it through, chained one and double crochetted into corner. Is that the correct way? Thank you!

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very close - before you go into the stitch , ch 1 and then remove your hook from the yarn. Pull the loop through , ch 1 and then do your dc into the corner .
      Great! 👏🏻❤️🧶

      @Play Hooky with Me I think I did that and didn't explain myself earlier? Grrr..lol. I went into last stitch and pulled up a loop, chained one, removed the hook, inserted hook into corner, pulled loop through, chained one and continued to finish the corner. Is that correct? I'm sorry to keep bothering you, I'm just getting frustrated with myself. Thank you for all your help. You're an 😇!

      @@louisespejewski7179 it’s ok , you’ve said the same thing as before… so I would recommend that you follow exactly how I do it starting at 20:59 but instead of going into the top of the blue corner with the yarn in the hook , remove your hook and then go under to pull the yarn through .

      Just crochet over it, or run the tail through the loops of the circle once or twice. Don't be negative.
