I was there. Went to college in dubuque, ia. My buddy and i drove down. Met up with some other people. Had been to several shows before this. They were always great but this show fucking killed. It was hands down a magical night.
The second jam, in F natural, in Mike’s, 1:59:00-2:07:20 is absolutely some peak Phish. Proto-cowfunk techno grooves -> absolutely flyyyyyyying! A great example of an amazing jam that doesn’t formally “peak” at all, but still delivers a great payoff. Fish even loses a stick at one point he’s grooving so hard, just absolute perfection as far as I’m concerned. Many thanks for this awesome video!!!
Pharchive, I’ve never met you but I need to thank you for all the years of just sick posts. You have given us all a lot of great music. Shout out, big phist bump to you
First show! Me 12 buddies from highschool, we were sophomores, our moms dropped 1/2 of us off and picked us up….and man the boomers were so good, I sat next to mike vescovo! hi mike!

Great upload! So happy to see this. I was down on the floor somewhere, to the left of Trey. Saw them the previous Friday in Champaign as well.

Love it. Big 2001 vibes around 2:00:00. Also 1:10:29 "play it funky Leo!"
Thanks for this one. I was 19 and still remember blues traveler and the letter M and 420.
