@@resonant8545 he did it to himself, he was able to do one episode for witch/inventor and than do 1-2 eps for other characters , but he decided to have 6 episodes left for just witch/inventor instead.

Prodigious size alone does not dissuade the sharpened blade.
Reversal is a free win + free equipment if you walk into the fight with nothing equipped. this could make a huge difference in a run.
Reversal is the single biggest BM play in the entire game, and is the sole reason why Inventor is my favourite character.
Fun fact: if you hit Cornelius with a reversal and kill him with his own item, that item turns into a second reversal (because otherwise you'll be stranded with no other equipment.) If you ever see him on floor 5, save him for last for the back-to-back BM free win.

What a bonkers OP last gadget. You were literally unkillable as long as you kept using it each turn.
That can't be intended though, I guess the gadget was suposed to be a one time use gadget.
@@UM96lol I mean the equipment it comes from is also completely useless, so it's probably meant as a joke / reward if you actually slot it in and get to transform it.
Yeah, does that just give you a free win if you have it on boss. I get the downside to it. If you use it outside of final battle or when you don't have a level up after fight you'll have 0 health going into the next fight. But against boss, you can't be killed. Unless any ability a boss have can neutralize your buff (haven't been paying 100% attention to the alternate reality rules).
@@ErzbischofAmurael The equipment is useless, but not completely useless. It gives the survive 3 status effect to the enemy, which means an insta-kill in 3 turns. You can use it against an annoying enemy or a boss.
"Yea, let's go 3 shock against an enemy with 2 equipment."

Yoooo this episode was blessed. The title is completely intentional. The sekiro reference, the darkest dungeon title, it's all to show Egg's resolve. He conquered those games, and he can conquer the inventor.
Egg, this is among my favorite Dicey Dungeon episodes.
(P.S. turns out all you need to beat the Inventor is god RNG on the scrapping.)

Berlin key is literally the best item for the inventor. Just unequip everything and take their equipment. Eeeeezzz

@@NathanNathanNathan You don't have to get rid of any equipment, unequip everything then use the reversal gadget, leaves the enemy with no gear and you get free stuff

I feel like the best way to beat this episode is to swap equipment with the Alchemist and become a Bear lol
Really wish he realized that he could have just taken off his equipment then swapped with the enemy to take all of theirs

I think he severely underestimates the gadget version of berlin key. It's utterly OP and guarantees a victory against any one enemy, as long as it isn't the doppleganger for obvious reasons. Still helps against the doppleganger, because it allows you to use all equipment twice.

You'd be less salty if you focused on clearing Inventor before finishing all your favorite characters.

Hey NL if you have reversal just completely remove all your equipment. Then reversal once and the opponent can do nothing, and you get all their equipment. It's stupidly OP.
Hey egg, figured I'd say that if what's slowly killing this game for you is a lack of more challenges, there's a really cool mod called Cosmic Variations that changes every challenge and adds new enemies, items, and more. If you get back on a Dicey kick and want some new stuff, I recommend it.
This new Darkest Dungeon mod is really wild man. Almost like it makes it a completely different game.

You're constantly trying to fight the Inventor's gimmick, upgrades are almost never the answer, if you like your equipment that much save it for tough fights and bring plenty of sacrificial crap to keep things rolling

Reversal has to be one of the strongest things you can get as the inventor, If you get it, simply go into a battle wihtout any equipment and steal all their gear, the enemy wont have anything to use and you just got some free gear. It's pretty fucking stronk

With calculator you can put a 1 in and then focus to get add the 6.
Nl. Pro tip if you have double edge and reversal change you loadout to only have double edge and switch equipment so they are forced to use it
Pop Quiz: What is better, doing 6 damage, or doing 2 damage and giving the opponent the option to deal 3 additional damage to themselves if they want to?
Answer is more difficult than you think.

When you get the thing that lets you swap equipment with an enemy, why not unequip all your stuff and make the enemy useless for the fight, and get a bunch of free stuff? Seems like such an obvious godsend

The way i think about inventor is any opportunity you have to use weaker equipment you should take it if you can survive, especially if you level up after. Use your strong saved equipment on fights you absolutely need to.
When will he understand the power of reversal?
Unequip all the equipment into the backpack and use reversal as the first move.
Wouldn't have worked well against the copycat, but most other enemies seems like an auto win.

Okay, so what exactly is the point of last laugh? It it like the egg where it has some sort of hidden effect?
I think the point is being brave enough to have it equipped and hoping that you get the ultimate final boss gadget.
It instantly kills the enemy after 3 turns. Does exactly what the gadget version does (except the 6 health part), just to the enemy, not yourself.

NL please you have to use the berlin key gadget to steal all the enemies equipment. Unload your inventory and then go into a battle and you can get a bunch of free equipment that way

11:30 I'm so happy he said this. He needs to say this more often. It's hard to watch him complain about stuff and call it not fun when he is just doing it wrong. Yeah, scrapbooking isn't fun either if all you do is eat the glue.
Edit: yes, I'm critical of the egglord. But only because I care and enjoy him. And I'd like to care for and him enjoy for many moons to come.
Yeah, but I feel like the critic against dicey is fair. The main problem of the game is that it's not "really" a rogue like until episode 6. And what I mean by that is that for a given episode, you will get the same equipments everytime (what changes is only the order in which you get them).
So on the plus size, it means that each episode is handcrafted with the equipment chosen by the devs to make the episode matter.
On the other hand, you are not "free" to build your run. Especially in episode 4 and 5, it seems like there is 2 or 3 "viable" build by episode.

If you are taking swap gadget into a fight take no equipment into the fight so you can gain up to 5 equipment for free and the enemy cant deal any damage
