      Only if you can get a group of conservative or at least "non - left wingers" billionaires, who are willing to invest billions of dollars in a new industry in Florida or Texas. An industry that will be based on what worked in the past for Hollywood and one that will be purely profit based while completely devoid of identity centered ideology, an industry that will be merit based and emphasize quality and not quotas, an industry that will cater primarily to the majority in the population and not small activist groups. To create a new alternative Entertainment industry is not a simple task, it's going to take decades of effort and lots of money but it's not impossible.

      No Disney is a large corporation they are out to make money, but the leadership are baffoons today and someone was able to convince them that if they just put girls in charge it will make money...now look I have no problem with a female protagonist none at all...but it still needs the story to back it. Instead they make them so they have no weaknesses, can do no wrong, and never make mistakes its one dimensional and its not good then to top it off the men in the stories seem to have to always be morons. How do they expect audiences to react? By all means have strong female leads but give them a story arc make them seem like someone people can relate to yes they have super powers but they are still people not automatons. Why for the women to be powerful do the men have to be totally incompetent? It doesn't seem to have to work that way in male lead stories. But someone convinced them this was a great idea and for the last few years they have been losing money hand over fist, I would hope they would wake up and smell the coffee.

It’s not like BREAKIN’ BAD in 08’ when it was released, because it was on CABLE for many eye balls. Also, these STREAMING shows are just as expensive as movie budgets, without the commensurate NET INCOME rise. Basically, for MARVEL television shows to work we would need to focus just in “street level” MCU heroes. The NETFLIX stuff was GREAT. They should just have DAREDEVIL and company come back for SEASON 4, not a reboot. And this time, have that show air on AMC or another cable channel. Investors can’t sue, but depending how much stake they have, they can, to some extent, “call the shots”. Therefore, I wouldn’t be surprised if these said investors were the ones putting these woke writers in positions of power to begin with.
      Usually when a Company isn’t performing well, the investors, shareholders, and other owning parties (board of directors) meet and make decisions (for example, to appoint a new CEO, strategize for better profits, etc). At the end of the day, it is the Company’s best interest to make the stake holders profits, so that these stake holders can invest more.
      However, I believe that investors are the ones pushing for woke politics (generally, a person with money invests to make their views heard, so wouldn’t be surprising if these investors were involved in politics to some extent) and it’s also on Disney for not doing shit when they see their profits are dropping at an all time low.
      TLDR; both the investors and Disney are the ones responsible for this catastrophic downfall; if the investors were actually smart and did not wish to push their agenda, they’d either place more competent writers OR actually hold Disney executives liable for the lack of profits. But alas, as long as THE message keeps getting pushed (women good, men bad, minorities good, white bad, specially white men), then they couldn’t care less if they’re making money or not.

      Woke is where a group of people stole some things from Christianity, twisted it, and presented it back into the public in corrupt ways. Being awake is a major theme in the Bible. (Ezekiel 12:2)(Proverbs 20:12)(Isaiah 42:7)(Matthew 13:15-17) Did someone have ears to hear what the spirit is saying to the Churches?
      In a woke context, what was someone awake to? Were they awake to God, and what God was doing, or were they awake to man, or something else, using religion for political gain?
      Disney uses woke politics. It may have ties to their past as Freemasons, and with the Occult.

Then I turned on Alladin, and saw that condescending warning message at the beginning, you know the one that basically says "this film has bad stereotypes, it was wrong then and is wrong now, we hope to learn from this going forward..." Bla bla bla. I realized at that moment that this was not the same Disney that had once made childhood a magical experience for so many kids. In the 60's, 70's, and even 80's Disney would release movies that they knew would bomb at the box office to maintain their "brand". Even if they lost money, they knew their target audience would associate the Disney name with family-friendly movies. Fast forward to today, they are doing the same thing. We are NOT the target audience anymore. Unsupervised / impressionable kids and teens are, along with activist type's. Sure, it was a deal that was inked between two companies, and I'm positive that they both benefited from the deal. But, it allowed Disney to artificially inflate the numbers of subscribers that disney plus had. Everyone that I know took advantage of the one year of disney plus for verizon customers. While, I know very few that kept the subscription after the year. None of the people that just used the free deal were true paying customers. But I also believe that they're measuring the difference, so while they may space material apart it will be to keep most of their content ready for the upcoming Hulu merger. Which is really the lead: Disney+ is a dead platform, it will be absorbed into Hulu. Which depending on how you do the branding, could be sign on how bad the Disney brand is perceived publicly.

    As an Indian, I can confirm. D+ had a lot of subscribers in India for just 2 reasons,
    1)The app they use here, Disney + Hostar, had the rights for all HBO and HBO max content releasing in India
    2)Indian Premier League(IPL) streaming rights. If you don't know what IPL is, it is the second biggest sports league in the world valued at $10bn+ just behind NFL and it is soon said to overtake it.
    With both of these moving to Jiocinema, D+ will soon sink into failure.

    • @BiggieTrismegistus
      @BiggieTrismegistus ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I know about the IPL but I hadn't heard about them having the HBO rights too. Losing those had to have been brutal for D+ numbers.

    • @RvkKJ
      @RvkKJ ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@BiggieTrismegistus That is because, the now Disney + Hostar app, was just Hotstar before launch of D+.
      Hotstar was owned by Star Network who had contracts with HBO until March 2023.
      Hotstar and Star World(TV Channel) was the only source of HBO content in India. Since HBO doesn't have it's designated TV channel nor a streaming network here due to pricing issues.
      Star Network was acquired by Disney India in 2017.
      Now that the contracts are done. HBO has moved to a new partner. It's very cheap though. We get all HBO max content, same time as you people, for $12 a year, yes A YEAR.
      Even Netflix Ultra HD premium with 5 accounts is only $7.5 a month here. But Netflix's India library is bad compared to it's western counterparts.

    What is extra absurd is that Disney didn't release to DVD ANY of the content that people DID like.... in the vain hopes that people will keep paying per month to maintain the ability to go back and watch it again later? Thats WHY we buy.
    You need LOTS of content to maintain a channel. Maybe they and all the other streaming services should just go back to releasing previous released content on Netflix like broadcast channels do.... Release all your content NON-bingeable, and then release to bingeable Netflix later (which should just be renamed "Rewatch"). All the channels should just license their stuff to them for a 2nd chance to make money off them.
    Then release to video. Digital print on demand to match demand.

    I remember watching X-Men TAS as a kid in the 90s. There was one episode where Professor X didn't listen to Wolverine about not letting Sabretooth stay in the X-Mansion and it ends up nearly costing Wolverine his life. Professor X expresses deep remorse and regret afterwards and says they cannot allow such mistakes to happen again or else Magneto and others like him will win. You can see the clash between liberalism and conservatism, and even liberalism can be wrong at times. This 90s kids cartoon had so much more depth and sophistication than anything Disney has been churning out lately.
