Episode 8: How I Sea It: Welcoming our sister ship, the Celebrity Apex

- When the newest edition to the Celebrity fleet, the Celebrity Apex, joined 5 of our ships in the Caribbean it was a unique opportunity to put a new spin on tradition by coordinating $5 billion in hardware to make 720,000 gross tons "dance"! This is how we went about it!

I feel pride as a Greek citizen, to see our Captains and Seamen of other specialties thrive, alongside amazing Captains and Seamen from around the world.
We have a long history as a country in the sea.
Seeing your cooperation, coordination and good manners to each other along with your perfect choreography, brought me down in tears.

Ive never seen a video like this and the video was incredible in every aspect. It make a person excited for you guys. I’ve been working in the transportation industry for 30 years and always love hearing a person say that safety is their highest priority. Thank you for this video. I just started watching you because of Don's video and his mentions of you frequently. The drone flag delivery almost made me cry. I've had my drone business for 8 years and seeing that shot with the Captain taking the flag was moving. This has fulfilled my hope in drone use and acceptance. Just watched this and found it to very emotional for some reason! Probably due to the fact that there is so much camaraderie among the captains and the whole event was superbly orchestrated. I would like to thank Captain Kate for posting all the videos that she does as it provides a great insight to those of us who can only see cruise ships from a passenger perspective.

Kate, I love watching your Blog, My wife and I are scheduled for a 7 day on the Apex in February, lol, we were scheduled to cruise on edge in November 2020, but due to the Corvid and the no sail order we were not able to make it due to the cancellation of Novembers sailing. But after the February, cruise i would love to sail with you at some point, and we will make those plans, you are an inspiration to many us young woman who inspire to be Captains and managers of ships .

I'm a Carnival fan, but having a woman, and cat lover, as a captain is kickers.
I was on a Carnival ship for their 50th Sailabration last year. Our formation had five ships. It's a marvel watching five ships line up. Imagine if you had passengers on board for that day...
Captain, we absolutely love watching your youtube and TikTok videos. It is such a nice escape during these tough times. My wife's parents got to spend Christmas 2019 with us from out of state and then we all quickly headed into the Pandemic. My wife had no way of knowing that that Christmas was going to be the last time she saw her father. He passed away on Christmas 2020 alone in the hospital with COVID 19 600 miles away. It has been a tough year and holiday season for my wife. Your videos have been the first thing that made her smile...thank you! Maybe one day we can come cruise with you. Keep making entertaining and educational videos we love them! Wishing you fair winds and following seas!

That was totally awesome and WOW!! Certainly gives me a greater respect for Celebrity Cruises that the 'bean counters' in corporate would allow the expenditure of resources to make this happen! Kudos to them for that, and kudos to ALL the ship Captains for executing such maneuvers so gracefully and safely! :) Well, I guess I better start planning a cruise on a Celebrity ship! Hmmm, maybe even on the Celebrity Edge!
