Thanks for the review. I have a question for you - Since you have both the TA-26s and the LinLai 6SN7 tube, I was wondering if you could please let me know if it fits in the front of the TA-26s without hitting the power tube? I wanted to get this amp with this pre tube, but wasn't sure if it would actually fit as I can see the space between the pre and power tube is much closer than on the Darkvoice and the fact that the LinLai 6SN7 glass envelope is much wider than the stock pre tube. Thanks very much if you're please able to confirm.
@@brendanliddell240 I don’t have the ta-26 anymore. From memory the tubes touch if doing what you mentioned. I commonly use a different 6as7 tube that is smaller.
Really, "I feel I get a lot moer power" when using theA6080 tube. Did you acctualy measure the power against noise and distortion or did you just "feel" more power by burning your fingers? And if you have to turn the gain down, why bother, you just have less usable range to operate the volume control in. So nothing gained.
Buy it here at APOS apos.audio/products/xduoo-ta-26s-tube-amplifier?_pos=1&_sid=8e71433e7&_ss=r&variant=44214720266476&sca_ref=2666590.0euN0PQG0Q

@@ThriftShopReviews Thanks very much. I'll consider the Bottlehead Crack then.
I sold my Eufonika H5 for Darkvoice 336SE which costs 1/2 less. Point to point hardwiring is simply the best design for tube amps
My Focal Elegia headphones sound awesome. Nice fun preamp going to a Sansui 221 or vintage receiver/amp. I have the TA-26 rolled.
Thanks. Try a higher impedance headphone with it! You will fall in love
Believe it or not I have about 50 pairs of headphones. Beyerdynamic 880's 600 ohm. Sennheiser 650 etc. you name it. All fun!!! That's why we do it!
@@marcparsons1726 lol yea that’s a collection for sure.
Probably made a mortgage payment for guys like Zeos Pantera!
@@marcparsons1726lol that’s funny and more like you as well. You can make my house payment… good luck my friend
If this is an OTL amp then what's in the grey box behind the tubes where a transformer normally resides?
That’s A power transformer. If it has output transformers then you typically will see three transformers. One for power and one for each channel.
Hows the preamp can it make my cd player loud for my drums. I have a Ampapa that sounds really good
Waiting for your TA-66 comparison.
I finally got my TA-66 after 4 months wait. The original batch sold out quickly. Sounds good so far...
@@ThriftShopReviews How does TA-66 compare to the TA-26S?
@@andao3288 Interested as well
