Just a quick note, i think u said that if a thruster is blocked by anything it would not work in that direction. That is actually incorrect, yeah it makes sense in our world but the game is not coded that way since the developers think that reduces the amount of creativity you can put in a ship
Hello EvilMeatDuck and welcome to my channel. Indeed, I was told about this later. I didn't think it would be logical but... game logic :) Any other things I might have missed or you would like to see in an advanced tutorial?
Hey So You didn't tell anyone how to do the rotate option at all when doing the Armored triangles and stuff at all So you might wanna redo this vid and include those bro, cause us rookies Are lost on that part
Hi, thank you very much for the feedback. So note this is an old video, so some info might be outdated. I will do my best to find the time for a new version. Until then you might be interested in some other similar videos? th-cam.com/play/PLRYGjguAn0CETNi54IC0YsVNFtTdd6Ccc.html
Titanium is actually the 3rd lightest material by mass @30t per 1m³. Not sure if you just mixed it up or if you actually believed titanium to be heavier than iron. Iron is 51t per 1m³. Im not an asshole, its just not great to spread misinformation. My comment is purely to help anyone who would be misled, amd is in no way meant to be ignorant or condescending. I love this game. Thank you for making content supporting it!! 😊😊
Hi, it is possible I made a mistake back then or titanium didn't seem to be cheap enough to start with or maybe it was changed in a patch. This is an old video. Thank you for the comment regardless
@@perafilozof am new to it. And by style I meant as a TH-cam performance. Too many blab on and waste time. Still too new to fairly critique this video, but I guess this techniques you show have improved, and you probably have an updated video.
@@Peoples_Republic_of_Cotati I thought as much, but the "compact" word threw me off, "concise" is a better fit here. I aim to avoid that and give exact advice in a short video. Why so many thrusters and zero gyros? Im not that knowledgable abput avorion... so are the thrusters just better or more efficient? Someone explain the difference... *edit* i missed the part at the biggining where you added gyros. My bad. Im still curious how the thrusters and gyros differ in what they do? Like does gyros rotate you and orient your ship to point what youre camera is looking at? Then thrusters move you in that specific direction?

Indeed, you are correct, I used real world logic before checking in game logic.
This is true. Good point.
U can cover ur trusters and they still works ;)

question: where do you hold the ballast tanks?
;^)
Hi and thank you for the feedback. I haven't had those back than. I think those are a new addition.
@@perafilozof It's a ship joke refering to the ships on the seas.
We really don't need to care for that kind of ballast in space.

No benefits? Doesn't titanium make ship lighter, so faster and more efficient?
Hello Xezqez, this video is a bit old now so all the info in it doesn't match the current game version. I will make a new one soon.
timelapse should be in the title
and also not using a misleading thumbnail of a ship he's not actually building.

Isnt this ship just terrible tho?
75ish speed, barely anything in deceleration.
Rotation is barely anything, some 0.2ish rad...
