  • Since 1947, India and Pakistan's politics has treaded along different paths. Pakistan has seen a spate of military rulers and 3 successful military coups. While India has seen an uninterrupted civilian rule barring the emergency in the 70s. What explains this difference?

      @@abdulalikhilji2083 Actually, Army heads are below civilian officers in India. This is the real reason. In fact, any uniformed job is below the civilian job in all the parts of the world. For example, we have the policemen and the revenue department who shares certain parts of law and order. Now, the police is only used as a tool for executing the order of the civilian officer. The police, even IPS officers cannot shoot or do a lathi charge without the direction from RDO/ADM or the district Collector.
      How do I know it? My family has both police and civilian officers and army officers. The civilian officers gets promotion much faster, has the authority to command to uniformed officers. For example, when the military comes for any mission, whom do they report to? A civilian officer.

      @samythakur8108 5 ปีที่แล้ว +130

      According to me, army ' retire person should be banned to join any political parties completely without any buffer period...
      Logic behind my statement is simple,
      1)
      After all, each and every army person is human being, ultimately they will have certain ideologies, few support left wings few right wing..
      But
      If these ideologies let them think that , it compulsory to support certain political parties to be it member then for post benefit as well as for income benefit they will retire and join political parties...
      2)
      Even our constitution has made certain limits for army not to indulge in political activities even because of this they have not given right to vote ( condition applied) so they can't be treated as vote bank for political parties...
      Thus morality as well as constitution both indicates they should be far away from poison..
      For ex: -
      Since 2014 , we can see many retire army person have started appearing on news channel as spoke person, and indirectly they support bjp...
      Just because they are ex army person , majority of people in sake of patriotism may guide by their thought to support certain political party...
      Thus it's not good.

    • @rajasekhardarbha4728
      @rajasekhardarbha4728 5 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      Professional career is entirely different from personal thoughts and as per our constitution, there shouldn't be any kind of discrimination upon any one (even against their profession).
      Example: Lawyers, policemen, businessmen and even bureaucrats will have their own opinions and impressions in their life as per their experiences and how they perceive those experiences which means everyone is potential radical in their own sense (if we think like this in micro political levels, everything will be absurd). Therefore Ex-army personnel have the right to join politics at any course of his/her life (even immediately after retirement/resignation).

    Pakistan money diverted to 70% to military is also the main reason for Pakistan still being so unstable and non emerging country and will be always in future. Thanks to their mindset and fear of India taking over Pakistan will never compete with India and now even with Bangladesh. They have to give up their fear, forget Kashmir and stop sponsoring terrorism against neighbours which will benefit for Pakistan and Pakistani and make them stable and sustainable economy.

    Imagine if rss bjp and people like modi amit shah yogi savarkar were in power during those times. Our situation would have been just as Pakistan’s situation and most importantly, India wouldn’t have been a democratic country today.
    Thanks to diversity in race and religion in congress and the visionary leadership of nehruji who chose to focus in diversity, secularism and scientific temperament for which reason he founded, with a very limited budget (as India just got independence after the looting of $45T), institutions like IIT, IIM, AIIMS, DRDO, BARC, INCOSPAR which later became ISRO, BE and many other successful profitable PSUs, which are still shining the name of India today, which wouldn’t have been the case if he built temples & statues with that limited budget. And because of his diversity & secularism ideology, ISRO was able to successfully launch its first rocket in 1969 from a church(St. Mary Magdalene church) in Thimbu, Kerala and the bishop & other church leaders played a crucial role in acquiring 600acres of land in Thimbu from the locals for ISRO’s use. If it was Savarkar or mudi or yogi, they would’ve used those limited funds in building statues & temples and citizens would’ve become radical as focus would have been made in religion instead of education, just as Pakistan.
    Nehruji’s visionary geopolitical diplomacy is still being followed till today which is benefitting India and her interests till today. His non alignment policy and yet siding with USSR was the wisest decision of all. Because he chose to side with USSR instead of USA during Cold War era, India was able to acquire many important defence equipment from USSR even in barter system and their VETO has been so much helpful in UNSC, the defence pact signed between India & USSR under the leadership of Indira Gandhi ji literally saved India in 1971 war from USA’s powerful 7th fleet followed by British royal navy and our military was able to divide paapistan into two parts with the highest military surrender of 93k soldiers in human history (she really was an Iron Lady, something which current Gandhians failed to acquire). And because of the important & all time tested friendship between India and USSR, the friendship continued till today’s Russia as well for which reason we are able to get crude oil(the most essential part of running a country) in heavily discounted price (during the time when crude oil price per barrel are skyrocketing because of Ukraine invasion) that is literally saving us from recession, to be precise we are at 7% gdp growth rate in times when major developed countries are facing recession because pricy crude oil.

      @@divya9951 congress PMs were DEMOCRATICALLY elected by hardworking Indians to govern the country. Your statement is utterly ridiculous and ignorant. And when India got independence, only Congress was such political party who were strong enough. So, if they wanted, they could have made india One Party System, just like china, with no democracy or election. But they chose democracy and let the Indian citizens choose their leaders in which congress won in every election. If Savarkar or rss or bjp leaders like Modi amit shah yogi were in place of Gandhi Nehru SVP, India would have become autocratic nation instead of democracy. In 2004, India’s gdp was $700M and in 2014 India’s gdp became $2.14T. That means in 10yrs Dr. Manmohan Singh govt tripled(3times) Indian gdp even though there were sanctions upon India for 1998 Pokhran nuclear test and 2008 world recession. And now, Modi is not even able to double the gdp since 2014 to 2023 with all the infrastructures and good diplomatic ties with all major countries.
