I had similar problems with my 05 LJ. Mine was vacuum leak at the engine block. My cruise control did not work either, which made me look at vacuum system, FYI.

Good job Mike! I wonder why those contacts melted. I hope there is not a resistor somewhere in the circuit that is letting too much voltage go to the switch. Thanks for posting the video as well. Oh yeah, I'm driving out to Gilbert AZ to pick up a low mileage Honda ST1300. I will let you know when I get out and we can get together for coffee. Love ya brother.
