A few years ago, I got to play drums (drum set) with my old rock band at a local club. We hadn't played together in almost 25 years. As soon as the first note was played that night, it was like we were 20 years old again. It is one of my most treasured memories. As you get older, memories will fade and friends will be lost. It is easy to take things for granted. You do a great job of documenting things and "taking it all in".

My school left the akron show soon after it started raining so I didn't get to see you guys sadly. However it might be for the better since the lack of oxygen underneath the stands, combined with how awesome I saw you guys were in the semi-final, I think I would've fell to the ground and not gotten back up.
Man, I really enjoyed watching this. I'm a Bluecoat, 04-06, I unfortunately couldn't participate in the alumni corps. I'm really freaking proud to be involved with such an incredible organization.

Kyle. Loved the video. I marched 1974,75,76,77. Snare. I just uploaded a video I put together from 1977. Back in the day we had 5 snares. And YES I watched your entire video. We live in Akron.
I remember being in the stands that night for age out night with all the other age outs and pushing my way all the way to the 50, still in uniform just to be able to see y’all’s show head on live. Was definitely one of my favorite memories from my whole summer, getting to see electric counterpoint and great gig in the sky live again and tearing up like a baby. Even though I ended up marching somewhere else, The Bluecoats hold a special place in my heart for helping me fall in love with this activity. The energy was electric that night and you guys absolutely killed it. Thank you🥲

I will tell you me who was sitting in the age out section, even though we were on the the side watching we were all screaming watching you all. It was crazy over there in age out land. Sometimes it’s great to go back to March I wish mandarins did it but our alumni corps ain’t that big yet but we are getting close. Keep it going broooo

I have a question for anyone who knows. I’ve always really been wanting to play quads in dci, but always been amazed and shocked at how they learn the first few pieces in a matter of days. Do you get the music to learn before the camp at all?

I find it funny that we warmed in that exact same room, and probably had the funniest high school warmup ever. One of our snare in one of the goofiest voices goes to the bathroom and ended up being in there for almost the enitirety of our warmup and when he came back my man looked like a husk. It's sick to know you guys also have memories of those rooms :)

Phantom regiment doesn’t mic their corp at all. They are one of the few who believes in acoustic.
