Hi, we bought two pairs with my girlfriends after trying it in a retail store and being blown away by the sound quality and the ANC. Searching for in depth review we've come across your channel and as youtuber myself, I wanted to say amazing job on the review ! Being able to ear the sound differences is a big big plus, also different kind of music is very helpful as well.
One problem I have with my new Px7 S2e's is that when my finger touches or slightly strokes (on both left and right sides), there is a kind of "echoing scratching" noise. (You can even hear it when you hold them in your hands). The position is on the inner side of the outer cup, This is approx, leading from the "swivel" down to approx. 1cm (the height of the bluetooth on/off switch). I sent them in for repair as it is somewhat annoying and I was sent back an apparently "new pair" of HP. Is doesn't seem to have changed. As I said, this occurs on both sides. I never had this on any other HF, and I own 3 pairs. 2x Sony and I pair Bose, Is this normal? Or am I being a little too sensitive? Does anyone else have this small problem? Apart from this they are excellent.
i just got them in ocean blue , and i listened to vivaldi summer by voice of music ( great quality) , it sounds just amazing , so much so i even droped some tears as my love for music and classical music is greater then anything, i can honestly say they worth every peny
I love the blue ones but they're not on Amazon, never on sale, and currently they're £100 more than the other colours which is just a bit much for a nicer colour :(
I bought these BW for plane travel. The build quality and sound are great. The noise-canceling on the flight was not as good as the Bose QC 2023 edition. I returned them. But for around the house use and less noisy travel, they are a great choice.
After expecting the BEST from their "bigger sibling", I was properly disappointed, and returned the PX8 back to the dealer. These, on the other hand, ARE PRETTY GOOD ! They also sound very well using the USB cable. They have ( to my taste ) BETTER sound quality than the Sonies XM4 ( XM5 sounds WORSE than the 4 !! ).... They even sound, marginally, better than the momentum 4.

I'm a bit surprised, to say the least. Sony's sound way less muddy and muffed than what they use to on many reviews (and according to my personal experience with XM2 and XM4). I even had the feeling their recording had been exchanged with B&W px7s2e. 🤔
I recently got these and they've become my new favorite pair of headphones. Comfort is superb, sound quality is crystal clear, and I love how simple the app EQ is. I have a pair of Sony XM4's and found their app EQ settings to be too complicated for me, but Bowers and Wilkins streamlined approach is just right.
Would you say there is a clear winner for Metal and heavy metal and music like that? currently looking at the B&w's but i dont know if maybe i should go with the Bose QC'S or even the Shure AONIC gen 2.
Hi, I'm looking to buy these PX7 S2e but there is soo many people saying that the headset materials falls apart!? They look good and many say the sound is great. Do you use yours a lot, anything broken? I think there is a lot of paid comments here and amazon by competitors, it's 600$ here 🇨🇦 Maybe because they use it outside?
What do you think about sound in comparison with Bose QC ultra? Do B&W sound more detailed? And which of them sound more premium and professional for musicians? I had QC 35ii before, they were really comfortable but sound was a little bit flat… now I’m looking for the new pair and choosing between this two… and don’t know which one to choose)))
Hi, I always continue to follow your videos because I find them well made and exhaustive. I recently purchased the Sennheiser Momentum 4 (Denim version), very beautiful and well made. But I returned them because, for my tastes, I did not find the sound engaging and immersive, even adjusting the eq from the app I found the bass not very exciting. Now I kindly ask you if these B&W PX7 SE compared to the Momentum 4 have a warmer sound with more enveloping bass, but not invasive. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.
Very good content, well prepared. Did you have a chance to compare those to PX8 or to PX7 S2 ? I was using PX8 for some time, but was not really happy with them at the end.
i know you might not be reading this but i have a question im looking for a new pair of headphones because my doctor asked me to stop using the in ear phones, i wanted a good ANC because where im going to use it is extremely noisy, im talking about people talking loudly on the the full buss, i spend a lot of time riding busses where i live and i wanted a pair that just turned off the outside sound so i can listen to music or watch some youtube w40k essay wich one would you recommend ? B&W, BOSSE or SONY ? ( im talking about, XM5, QC ultra and PX7 s2e )
I'm confused, because I keep reading that these sound much better than the XM5, like on another level, and I have the XM5 and think that on the default eq they are too muffled (although they open a lot after eq). But then I listen to this comparison and the XM5 actually sound more open, and seems to me that some of the higher frequencies are lost in the PX7? like they sound even more muffled. I was thinking on buying the PX7 S2e but I don't know what to do anymore.
Great review! I have a had a pair of Sennheiser PXC 550 II for 6 years now and wear has taken a toll so I want to replace them and this review really helped me. I also despice touch controls on headphones so will definitely get a pair of the B&W.
Do they sound better than the Momentum 4s? I had them for christmas and already sound very good out of the box but it is incredibly easy getting them to sound even greater (that means more neutral and open to me) through soundcheck feature. It made it whith a tigher and more agile bass.
Hi! Checking in here! I've owned the Momentum 4's, but I returned them, because of the total amount of bass. Yes, you can EQ of course, but this was still just too much for me. Definitely not the sound I'm used to, from Sennheiser. It's more 'consumer friendly' and that's just not what the brand was known for. Missed a bit of clarity and sharpness. Too warm sound signature. I got myself a pair of PX7 S2e's instead and man I love them! Turned down the bass a bit and boosted a bit of treble... they sound great. Simply great. Comfort is fantastic as well. You should definitely go for the S2e's if you like more neutral sounding headphones. I think it's the best of the 2, but everyone's hearing is different of course. The ANC is not as good as from the Momentum 4's, but still very good. Love them. Hopefully though, they fixed the durability issue, that came with the PX7 S2's and PX8, since their headband came off after some time of usage. Hopefully this helped you a bit in your decision. 🙂
I already have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 4 and I know i’m getting a pair of Px7 S2e for Christmas. I’m trying to watch as many reviews as I can. Informative review. Thanks
Hey, I am in the market for my next pair. My Sennheiser PXC 550 ii broke on me after 3 years. Before that, I was rocking couple of sennheiser HDs, so I really like the brand and their sound. I am confused between Senn M4s and PX7 S2e as they are similar in pricing currently. If you were to get just one, which one you would have and why?
@ I honestly can’t answer that yet as I’ve yet to hear the px7 2se. What I can say though is that the Momentum 4s are fantastic. They really do sound great. I bought them on Amazon so if I don’t like them it’s easy to return them.
@@Brian_ON I got the S2e and man, they're an upgrade to my sennheiser pic 550 ii! The most striking feature for me in these that sets it apart from momentum 4s, is they have an inbuilt DAC which support 24-bit hi-res audio through wired connection. On my MacBook Air and streaming hi-res through Qobuz with usb-c connection and the sound just blew me. They sound great wireless but the wired connection just unlocked another level. Bose QC Ultra has better ANC, but i like the Sound coming from these better. But thats just my preference. Overall, i would, now that ive tested them, go for the Px7 S2e.
Right. At the time of writing the previous comment, I was still testing my Bose QC Ultra. I returned them today and am currently testing the Px7 S2e. The sound profile is much more my taste. Vocals are really popping and sound a lot clearer than with the QC Ultra. Bass is weaker and more neutral, but a plus is that nothing sounds muffled. Listening to Dawn FM by the Weeknd could use two or three notches up for bass in the EQ, but Lana Del Rey's new album "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd" sound absolutely amazing with the standard settings. Sounds as if she is right in my ear. Build quality in these feel better, that is the main reason of why I returned the Bose. I felt that they were flimsy and had a bright click in the right ear when moving my head or walking. Also, they leaked a lot of sound. I'm a student so that's important for me. But all said, the ANC in the Bose QC Ultra is absolutely breathtaking and makes that train ride so much more enjoyable. ANC in the PX7 S2e is only okay, although you probably won't be hearing much of anything with music playing in your ears. I'm very happy, and will likely end up keeping these unless something comes up. I've read that people have had battery problems down the line, and quality issues with ear muffs. But that may only be a select few, and there may be some bias here where the people with issues are the ones who get out of their way to post about them. @@LeechTM

Can you comment on bluetooth multipoint? If you have two phones paired with the P7e, can you simply switch back and forth by pairing first with one and then the other, for example? If you pair a 3rd phone, does it drop the first one? How far away from your phone you can walk before problems? What happens - static or silence? If you are on a city bus with a loud diesel engine, of the three, which will actually block out the noise? Excellent job recording the differences in sound quality. It's hard to describe - better to hear. But we cannot get a feel for sound stage without wearing them. Can you comment on that?
Question 1, yes. Question 2, you can pair a 3rd phone, but then one of the other 2 can't be connected at the same time. 2 is max. Question 3, about 30 Meters, than you get connection issues, scrambled noise, then connection interrupted. I don't get the last Question, what do you mean by the 3? Remember, I recorded this video quite a while ago.
I ended up liking the Sony's better from the music sample you played. Replayed this video several times with my apple AirPods, Bose sound link OE and my iMacs speakers. I'll have to find out where I can test these out in store .I had originally purchased the AirPods Max and returned them due to my very old Bose sounding better. First time watching a review from you and enjoyed every moment. Keep up the great job!!

Picked these up a week ago. If you appreciate the tone of different instruments then DON'T get these. There is some weird ultra-clear filtering that robs every note of any emotion. You can max volume with little or no distortion. But also no soul. Not sure who these are for, especially at that price. Soccer players I guess.
You have to be just the second person I’ve seen criticize their sound; everyone seems to be praising their sound, getting them later this week; xm5 are very bland, yet everyone praises them, let’s see
@EstaDePiPi I do sound a bit harsh there lol. I probably wasn't being fair to them. Imperfections of a song give it soul and emotion. A guitar squeal or the vocalists' voice cracking a bit at full effort can make a song. They are just smoothed over and lost, in my opinion, with too much filtering that cannot be restored by EQ or anything I know of. There is also very little bass. Having said all that, they were very comfy and felt light to wear. I'm sure many will be happy with them. Let me know what you think of them!
Momentum 3 are AND will remain the best headphone of history(for mobile). No comparation with the other headphone. Sennhaiser is 10000 miles from other 🤷♂️🤷♂️

@@Tom-ud8js @Tom-ud8js, can you dial the bass back in using equaliser, e.g. Wavelet?
Trying to decide between these and Senheiser Momentum 4.
Thanks
@@sicebim1 Yes, Wavelet at least on Android phones I think so. I have the Bowers & Wilkins app on my Iphone and it allows me to dial the bass back. I haven't tried the Momentum 4, but I'm very satisfied with my PX7 S2e.
What are the songs in the demo??
Hi Leech
Amazing reviews, I really like them. One question stays, I looked for a new set of ANC headphones and I have the PX7 S2e and the Dali IO-6 on my top list. Are you going to review the Dali‘s in near future?
Thanks
TiRohn
never heard of them before. Will check them out and then see, if i can organize a unit from somewhere.
@@LeechTM Dali (Danish Audiophile Loudpseaker Industries) ist ein dänischer Highend Hersteller, vor etwa 4 Jahren auch mit Kopfhörern im Markt. Bin gespannt… 🤩
Great testing. I'm leaning more towards the sony's. A little more clearer and great bass. Thanks for your expertise.
Should I upgrade from Sony xm5s?
if you already own the xm5, i would not upgrade, but rather see what next generation brings to the table.
Hi ! Do you think I will see the difference with my Plantronics backbeat pro 1 (2014)
Thanks
uh, i would, without a doubt say that you will see, feel and hear a difference.
@@LeechTM cool !
@@LeechTM you think the gap will be the same from the S2e to the Mark Levinson 5909

How is the sound quality of the Px7 s2e on the iPhone?
Listen to the audio examples, it's recorded with an iphone
SONY is too bassy for me, B&W is well- balanced 👍🏼😍 Bose is more of EQ adjusted mode for some reason? 😃 ordered B&W already- thank you for this great video! 🙏🏽👍🏼
your welcome, glad i could help.
Yeah the sony's clarity is just wonderful. The BW's sound muddled in comparison.

What music tracks you used especially the last one?
i dont remember the songs themselves, made this quite a while ago, the songs are all taken from audiio.com

i like these ones better.
You have the best intro ever
meehh, its fine, at least its self made :)
@@LeechTMdo they have more clamping force than the Bose qc ultras/are they comfortable?
about the same clamping force.
Thank you that was an excellent review.
How they compare to px8 ?
Havent had the chance to test the px8 yet, maybe someone else can help
Px7s2e or Bose qc??
If you can afford it, Px7s2e.
@@LeechTM I would definitely get these over mainstream headphones like the Sony xm5 Bose qc etc plus it was hard to find some good premium wireless headphones that aren’t Bose qc ultra and the AirPods Max
Have the blue ones, they are great
Thank you! Great quality video. Keep it going :)
Thanks for watching!
This or Focal Bathys?
🤔
I feel so stuck with headphones at the moment, I love the B&W Px7 s2e's, they sound perfect but the ANC is really weak. Yet Sony sound horrible, are delicate, uncomfortable and the Bose hiss real bad.
I've no idea what to buy. It's a lot of money.
wait for the next round of Headphones to be released. Probably next year.
Love the beard and your accent :) :)
thanks.
Great videography!

Took mine back 2 days after I got them
Why?
@@yardman0001
Did not like how they fit. Earcups too small. Headband wasn't comfortable for me. Didn't like the buttons. Didn't feel they were anywhere near worth the price.
@@Matt-fd9hcwhat will you get instead?

I'm going to get the Sennheiser Momentum 4. Pretty sure they'll have the best sound. But if the comfort isn't how I like them then I'll return them. Then I'll go with the Bose QC Ultra. The Focal Bathys just isn't an option for me. Airpod Max I used for 9 months then sold them.
same i’m getting bose bc these are terrible the sound quality is not good compared to sony xm 4. spent 400 when i could’ve gotten sony for 300 and they’re super uncomfortable too
Dziękuję za recenzję i test rewelacja :-) pozdrawiam
You’re welcome
gut gemacht ! danke !

How was it? Is it buggy? I have px7 the old version, has bugs. I even have the replacement and still buggy. Anyway, the sound signature is better than sony. This new px7 s2e, is it buggy?
no bugs in my time of testing.
Is it green or gray? Lol
Both, somehow
Momentum 3 are AND will remain the best headphone of history(for mobile). No comparation with the other headphone. Sennhaiser is 10000 miles from other 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Are the m4 as good?
@@simonnatowicz151yes ! More details and better instruments separation. M3 has better bass.
