    I used one of the of the plastic fruit net bags to roll print onto metal for scales and it looked really good. Funny how completely different materials but you end up thinking of similar solutions. :)

    Have you considered doing one representative snake with all that gorgeous hand work, then casting it in plaster to press coils into? Love that hog!

    In the Hardware store they sell a metal sheet used for construction that has the same shape and your tool. This sheet can be shpaed and put how ever you like. hope it helps

    Just mold a roller shape out of clay put your scales in that and bake it and you can just roll them on

      The eyes are made from a white stoneware clay

    Will this work good for a reptile creature prop. I just want it to look for reptilian then fish like. And is this the best way to make scales, whats the name of the tool? I'm guessing its in the clay/pottery isle lol

      It is a loop wire tool I got from Michael Craft store.
