Thank you for fabulous and clear examples. Just in case anyone wants to know, the Motion Blur settings are under the >Advanced tab in the >Composition Settings. :)
Cool tip at 00:25 add position 150 and opacity 0, at start with offset -100, end with 100, advance settings: shape: ramp up, ease high 25% and ease low at 100%. 03:14 for similar size animation. Very helpful! thanks!
This is incredible useful! Text animations can be such a pain point and this just makes it easy to be able to focus on other aspects of the motion design. Thanks!
Hi! I've encountered a problem, I did the step as you did in 4:08 by changing the tracking to -110, but my text was squished to the left instead of the center. Do you have any idea why this is? Great video by the way.

@@SmertimbaGraphics This is simply one of the best youtubers i've witnessed. Coming to answer a question after an year is damn crazy. Awesome tutorial.
Probably a pretty simple question for you - but how do you know when to animate the offset property versus the start property? It seems like they do the same thing, no?
Offset makes smoother animations by making the letters animate in sync with each other, whereas start animates 1 character at a time without much of a sync. But not all animations done with start property can be created with offset, for example the one with position, opacity and tracking, only works with start property.
@@SmertimbaGraphics Right, so that's why you can adjust the easing on the start property since you're just adjusting the easing per character whereas you need to adjust the Ease High/Low with offset since you're animating everything as a synced group. Is that right?
hi, for the motion blur part of the video what shutter angle and samples per frame did you use? Because for me it might not look the same because right now I am using Shutter angle 180 and the frame at 16.
btw do you have a tutorial on how I can make smooth transitions wiht motion blur? Like a slide down or something that is smooth, maybe I might use position and make it slide down and enable motion blur with the settings you gave me.
@@SmertimbaGraphics Im looking to show each animation while the previous text disappears quickly like you have at the beginning. Is that possible to do in one composition?
@BCElite_ sure, you can add multiple text animations into one comp, each text will have its animation and when one text layer ends the other begins and so on. Make sure you shorten the text layers though, depending on how long you want each one tovbe visible
I am facing a problem while doing this assignment tracking amount when we put it crushes the letter also at that time the crush of the letter is from one side and not from the center what is the problem? Even though the anchor point is at the very center of the letter, this problem still occurs
these are amazing! Could you share how we can do this is each text were a shape? In this case if we're working on a custom wordmark that are vetor shapes rather than a text title.
After effects has built-in animators just for the text layers that make it easy to animate text in different ways. It wouldn't be possible to do it the same way for shapes or vectors. In that case you would need to animate each part/letter manually and separately like in premiere pro for example

I wonder how to use the tracking, mine doesn't merge in the center. It merges to the left side.😢
I forgot to mention, you should set paragraph to center text, then it will track from the middle

I used shutter angle 360, shutter phase 0, samples per frame 16, adaptive sample limit 128 in that video
@@SmertimbaGraphics thanks
btw do you have a tutorial on how I can make smooth transitions wiht motion blur? Like a slide down or something that is smooth, maybe I might use position and make it slide down and enable motion blur with the settings you gave me.
Yes, I have a few transition tutorials like whip pan, zoom etc, all with motion blur
What's the best way to display all of the animations like at the beginning of the video? thank you.
It depends. I wouldn't say there's one best method to do so, but I prefer a separate example for each animation like shown in this video
@@SmertimbaGraphics Im looking to show each animation while the previous text disappears quickly like you have at the beginning. Is that possible to do in one composition?

can you tell me how to make it show from right to left
Sure, set shape to ramp down and keyframe offset from 100% to -100% instead
like the mechanism

brother tracking amount 25 karta hon to aik side se hota hay dosri side se nahi hota
Set paragraph to center text in paragraph window
I am facing a problem while doing this assignment tracking amount when we put it crushes the letter also at that time the crush of the letter is from one side and not from the center what is the problem?
Even though the anchor point is at the very center of the letter, this problem still occurs
I should've mentioned it in the video, set paragraph to center text and that should fix it
Hi
What is the name of animation 4? I want to make it in daVinci
Hi, I guess you can call it a scale up animation😁
@SmertimbaGraphics thanks bro🤝🏻

i love this tutorial but pls how do i copy a text effect to another text, because CNTRL C and V isnt copying the animation
You've got to select the animator 1 and paste that to other text layers
tHANK yOU sO mUCH - bLUR
where can i get this font?
Link's in the description, it's called Montserrat

the "tracking amount" in my after effect cant scrunch the text on between, it scrunch from the left, can you help me?
Set paragraph to center text, that should fix it
i am getting a issuse in tracking my text is tracking from the first not from the middle can you the give me the solution ..?
Set paragraph to center text (forgot to mention in the tutorial)
At the third animation. Why did you not use offset this time, but the start option?
I learned a lot, and it helped me to remember working in After effects. Thank you. 🙂
Offset creates smoother animations with the flow, start is kinda like one character at a time
Thank you!!
Welcome!
Awesome! Just thinking how can you make the words appear at custom intervals, to match a voiceover? But keep the moving up an opacity effects
You can set the animation based on words instead of characters and then keyframe start or offset to match the words with whatever's being spoken
@@SmertimbaGraphics Thanks! It works.
If I may - is it possible to animate the leading of text lines?
I think so
