I lived all my young life just off the left of these shots in Jubilee Road. I remember the clanking of the trains and the turntable. There was also a Brittains model shop in the row of buildings backing onto the railway yard. Smarts Newsagents opposite the railway too.

Glad you like the film. It was taken by the late Mr Gordon Pratt and I have had the privilege of digitising, editing and putting out there for people to see. There are quite a few films from around Weston which I have been able to put on TH-cam, Please feel free to share if you know anyone who would like to see these little pieces of nostalgia

brilliant and well done putting the effort in-posting it! I know the area well but I can’t picture where and what angle the train sidings is, whether the length of the Tesco shop or more the car park. Also interesting to see how trains got there and lay of the land. Think a visit to Weston reference library coming up!

It is a shame and there is only so much that can be put right when editing
