OMG, this is EPIC!!!! Been following her since the OVER THE RAINBOW show & her career in the West End. So amazing to see Lauren Samuels now go INTERNATIONAL!!! Hopefully, Broadway and the West End companies of WICKED in her future.
@@Nepzer1 The tour itself I know has cities till September next year. It's not closing anytime. Usually, they extended throughout the year. The tour is open ended. It'll probably get even more bigger since the movie is coming out.
@@jacklangboy7617I am not the person you asked but I saw this production and it was fantastic. I would recommend going to see it if able. The whole cast is phenomenal.
I remember all the way back when Lauren was on Over The Rainbow (BBC) 13 years ago thinking: 'I want to see/hear her play Elphaba', and 'I bet she'll play Elphaba'. And now here she is, sounding like she's slaying. I knew it. ❤
this is genuinely one of the best defying gravity's an american elphaba has given in so long. she reminds me so much of the early elphie's, i'm so excited to see how she grows!
it’s always a unique experience listening to new women sing Elphaba, but this certainly rocked my headphones off 💚 i can’t believe i get to see her in LA this December
Idk if it's intentional (if it it, then the best of hats off to her for this amazing acting choice) but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how she made her voice sound more witchy for this song compared to the wizard and I. If this is her now, imagine her towards the end of her contract. Thank you so much for being there and recording this
HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYEEEEET💀 I love her so much😭 & Kerry I love you so much but finally we have an Elphaba that can pull off an unlockable American accent! She is sensational! Since she's British I bet Micheal McCabe and the rest of Wicked London will be eyeing her up as a potential London new starter in the future. I don't know what I was expecting, I haven't heard her voice really since she competed on BBC's Over The Rainbow, but I sure as hell wasn't expecting THAT! 😍
Whatever it takes I'll be there at Prince of Wales theater in Toronto in July to see Lauren, Austin and cast of Wicked which will be first Broadway show in Toronto plus my first time seeing Wicked.
@clairewalters8 oh yes Lauren rocks as Elphaba when I saw her at Princess of Wales Theater on Sunday 21st of July also to me personally the most emotional Defying Gravity plus it made tear up as well.
I have commented on, and agree about the Marcie-isms, but does anyone else also hear Nikki Davis Jones too? I can’t stop playing this. She is so incredible!
@@Scandisk10 oooh interesting point now that you mention! Honestly I keep coming back to this again and again, I can’t wait to hear her over the next year. As an aside, how awesome is it that Marcie was at the Wicked 20 celebrations?!
Her SOME THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE.❤❤❤ can't wait to see her in denver

Agreed to all this though I hope her also Austin and rest of cast come to Ottawa, Ontario Canada before there tour of Wicked ends.

I was there she was so good
Sounds like she's been in the role for years, and that voice is CRYSTAL clear
She reminds me a little bit of Cecelia Ticktin former Elphaba standby 2018/2019!😊
This queen debuted a day after my birthday❤ I guess that's universe giving me a late birthday gift, lol
I hope I get to see these two next month I'm so excited
Lindsay Pearce and Marcie Dodd called looking for their child!!!
Very this!! Emily Kristen morris giving some vocal coaching to her in parts too?
100% lololol
lol! Kyle I said the same thing when I first heard it. 7:10 is Marcie. That’s not even Lauren. Marcie popped in for a a quick cameo.
This is going to be a good year for America. Please let her come to the UK soon!! 🎉
