This guy sounds like the trainer i had 11 years ago. My trainer would put me on sleeper mode while i loaded and unloaded and would work things out so i would drive all night load and unload and all he would do is sleep. When i would outsmart him and make it where he would drive nights he would travel 250miles and park and sleep.... short story he got mad and said i was messing with his money . So i told him to take me back to a terminal. He tried to kick me out so i beat the bricks off him .. he called the police 😂. I got to to terminal and he got fired for trying to abandon me

Oh no, they're going to learn everything and do everything that they need to letting them Sleep while you're working. No no no. Raise the different error Nope they're going to learn everything at every Stop and pick up. F that man nope people don't believe in references anymore. It's a shame people don't have that standard of working for good references. As a reference to and how they work are, the good workers or the piece of garbage. If I were to be a flat bed I wanna know everything I'll be up when you're up. Bang that out, keep it moving. But with o t r van driving You don't get much backing. Maybe truck stops.
Haven't damaged any so far. I'm not looking forward to doing that being tired because of a few dollars. Anytime soon And force freight, sorry, that's not going to happen. Plan things a little bit better. And I won't have to worry about that. And making sure the trailers are actually Legal and that I don't have to Worry about the trailer. To be worked on and every time I get. One would have to waste my time to fix it or get it fixed. That should have been done with the last driver and accountability for those drivers who don't take care of the problems that. Arise when they dropped off. You're gonna have the ABS light on or some kind of Lake or a bad tor twor 3 or 4.
These are things that should be already taken. Care before the next person grab That trailer. It sounds like a far-fetched idea. But I have already been through it not fun. Eats up your clock, add more delay. You have no idea how many Glad hands Grummets that I changed. Oh a question when important things like wind advisories in On the qualcom does that's notified you by reading the message?

Maybe they should be explained clearly to what they're getting paid. Because I think that's a disconnect right there, I'm talking about the trainees. I know what I'm getting paid. It's not gonna be the same as you because you're a trainer that's obviyes. But but it needs to be explained in case they forgot which to me seems like that's what they've been doing a lot lately, and thinking that they're going to make more somehow some way. By being on that truck, then then what was told to them and orientation? They tell you what you're getting, and what? Because you're in the truck with a trainer that you're going to make more than what they say. Forget what you just heard. I think they're reminding them of what they're getting paid and how that works needs to be explained to them again. I mean, some people are slow. When it comes to getting paid and understanding what's going on? I think personally they don't, and that's why they get all flustered and aggravated and Bitching and moaning I don't think it's going to change. When they tell you an orientation what to expect. It's not going to change until you get your own truck and you're out there grinding.
And I'm pretty sure they've been told. Not like you've been told in an amnesia and you forget about it. You know, that's a really special kind of . They should know what they're getting, and they need to be reither by you. Or by a company, they need to be reminded. It's not gonna change because they're angry. Some people need to be reminded.
Anything, this is easy money that they're gonna make money. All like that real quick on the 1st day. Don't care where you are. Whether it be trucking or retail or hospitality. Nope, it doesn't work that way not that I know of or I'm completely aware of it. Don't work that way.. You should be expecting reality which is you're going to. Basically pound the dirt, so to speak. Until they feel safe that you are able to do it on your own, and even still, that's going to be a chalaunch. Come in with negativity and high expectations. You're going to find out really quick, that's not the case. You're on that truck with a trainer. For a reason that is to learn.
Not facilitating idiotic ideas and people. You're there to learn and do the job, right? I will be going to western express dry van. My experience was with o Tr team driving which was not for me.. And I also had experience in solo driving for about 2 weeks. And I liked that so much better because of the fact that I had to sleep that I was aware of.. And I didn't feel like a risk. When I was in team driving. And I definitely didn't wanna be a risk to the person inside the vehicle and using his vehicle to learn off of Did not want to risk that either. Because I couldn't tell you how many hours of sleep I had got. That was a red flag for me but I respect the grind I do. Don't get me wrong but I know. I can do that when I'm awake and aware. I don't need to be tired to do it all the time. Because that doesn't make sense to me. You can forget something could be something stupid but again I was aware of the probi'm not risking my life. My license anything to be pushed To do something for a few dollars not doing it. Not worth it because I have to look out for myself in this predicament. I've been through Virginia. I've been through North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida. Though these are the areas I don't mind going to.
Oklahoma Arizona Nevada. Now I've been through these places. I know what to expbut also to trainers. When somebody is on the truck, it's don't expect them to be driving like a lunatic. You ever hear that expression return riding blind? It's going to take people who've never been out there a while to figure it out and be comfortable with it.
Cause I'm pretty sure that if you're going into a neighborhood that you're not familiar with. You're going to drive differently than you would have versed a place that you already know.. That's what some people need to take into consideration. I have experienced the only thing I haven't experienced is the ice and snow, which most likely I'm not going to risk again. My license, my life or the equipment. In this case until I am sure I can do it.. But I also want to do the right job the right way even if they don't see it that way again. Again, I'm not gonna risk my license or my life. For a few dollars, just not gonna do it.
But I'm not saying they're going to. But there are other ways to grind and get where you gotta go. You don't a rocket scientist to figure that out? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. Get there safely on time every time don't See anything wrong with that. It can be done, I've done it. Solo drive and of course, don't gotta drive like a lunatic 70 miles an hour. You don't gotta do all that mess. And then get into an accident and not make it at all. Sorry I don't trust other people when they drive. That's just how I am. And I don't think I would be a trainer because again. I just don't trust other people driving. They could be good drivers. But it just takes that 1 time for it to confirm. Exactly what I fear? Don't wanna be going down a mountain or off a mountain. Because of somebody not paying attention, gotta get there, gotta get there, gotta get there. Yeah, ask yourself this question. Is it worth a few dollars to do all that extra stuff to kill yourself? And I see a lot of people out there doing that pushing people to drive fast. First, to get a ticket first to get into an accident. First, in a ditch, that's what that means.
Obeying the rules on the speed limits, follow them.. There are 2 places I don't like want to go through. Is the city in New York? And california why too much money way too much money is being spent. And they don't pay enough to go there and come go places where they do. And there's a lot of places on the East Coast in the Midwest. That are doing that don't risk yourself. Getting into an accident stuck in traffic. Paying Where too much money to go get a few dollars. And if you go there, you have to either go at night or early in the morning, there aint no afternoon. There aint no 530. There aint no 630 early in the morning and early at night. But you're still paying more money to go through there. Then to make money, help me understand that.. I'd rather be an Elaine that actually pays more money and no interference of traffic as much as it would be if you were to go across country versus getting 3 loads and paying twice as much than that cross-country trip weather. I can go from Texas, 2 Indiana, Chicago, Wisconsin, all the way to Ohio down to Georgia. Possibly Florida and then back to Texas. I wouldn't mind running those routes. But again, California, New York. Not really feeling that it doesn't make any sense to spend more money to go there. And that you can't park or anything like that. So yeah, there's that. Until you get out of california or new york. Not worth it. And even jersey for that matter is getting more and more like new york traffic. I live in these areas I know what I'm talking about. It's not worth it unless you own a Cargo ship it's not worth it. Because you have way too many.

I love watching your videos, but I do got to say this time I don’t agree with you I’ve got to say in my opinion if you’re not training, so we have better drivers out here on the road and you are only training for the money. Please go to another company that will pay your worth. They are out there. I understand. I don’t want somebody in my truck neither nobody should be a trainer just for the money we should be trying to get better drivers out here. Now that that said, keep up with a good Contant again I love watching your videos. You put a good Contin out and you are very comical. Have a blessed day.

Righteously I didn't wanna be a job hopper and I been incarcerated alot in my life so I can deal with the bs. Here lately I been making 1800 to 2k a week. I just been putting it in God's hands to lead me and my family. I'm just ready to stop training so I'm leaving. It has been affecting my health with high blood pressure and just feeling sick the next day of the drama from the previous day.

Training really sounds like a pain in the neck only because he seems like most of the trainees are just selfish jerks when I was a trainee. I was very agreeable and I had a very determined let’s make it work type of attitude and it worked out pretty good I think though I don’t care who you’re in that little truck with him. By the time it’s over you can’t help but be tired of being around each other though that’s why I think there should be little breaks maybe but western Xpress would not probably do that because it cost money and whatever you know but when I was a trainee where I work now I only trained for two weeks just to learn the particulars of this company and different things but we Work five days a week and then he would take me home and I would go home for two days and then I went back. I don’t know it just seems like a long time to be in that small of a space without any type of a break another thing though when I was a trainee I tried to keep my own space as much as I could even if that meant hanging out inside of the truckstop by myself or when we were on 34s I would go alone and go for walks and find parks in different places, and do different things alone just to get some space between me and the trainer just to give it a rest

    • @SouthBoundTruckDriver
      @SouthBoundTruckDriver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

There have been some trainees that have been golden. I think they have then set the standards gor the others and that really messed everything up. I mean I get some people that really want to hurry and get there hours and try to understand vital things such as trip planning. Then again I get others that won't even learn how to logg into the drivers tablet and just say when the time comes for me to be by myself then I will learn. Those are the ones that doesn't last long here. I don't understand why you would throw away that much of your life just playing around not becoming 1% successful. Just enjoy taking your life down through there. Wake up in the morning look your self in the mirror and say, I wonder how much more f up I can make myself? Yes this hasn't been the best job but I mad myself successful here and so can anyone else. Stay safe driver and thanks for all the support 🙏 👍

@@SouthBoundTruckDriver I think the only question you have to answer for yourself is whether or not you sincerely enjoy flatbed because if you don’t, there are other ways to be a trucker that you might like a lot more like when I did flatbed, I really didn’t know what I was getting into, but as time went on, I could see that it just really wasn’t for me. It was a little bit too dangerous for me and I’m just a little bit older than you need to be, although I was only 44, but that’s kind of washed up when you’re talking about something that takes strengthen athletics and balance to not fall off the top of a load somewhere like I said I could do it but I didn’t enjoy it and I was lucky that I found what I like and I like this intermodal a lot it takes a long time to learn the rails, but it takes a long time to learn how to be good at flatbed to so I just depends what you want to do but if you like flat bad, I would stick with it and I would probably see about getting in with the steel coil stuff I see all the time they pay 90,000 and 100,000 over here at them steel haulers out of Indiana

You're joking that he said that hes going to sleep, going back to sleep, who who does that? Yeah That person is not gonna be there that long. I know that some companies push people to wan to be trainers But nope, I gotta wait until I get at least 2 years I can make. Yes or no decisions on that. I only have a 3 months
And and I know enough. I want not to do not hit Anything.. And make it to the customer and shipper on time. But you trainers are funny, though. Certain people up for failure, sending them to work. When the you know traffic is gonna be a pain in the ass. You're wrong for that. That has been my experience.. But it's not like I haven't driven on the road and no one I'm talking about. Don't gotta be a trucker to know how bad it is. To know that you're gonna be set up to do that. And there's no magic in the world. That is gonna fix stupid drivers on the road. Hell I'll have been jersey I just about seen every kind of idiot that you can think of converging in one state. So when everybody says traffic out in the Midwest is bad. Come to Jersey when New York. It takes you to almost a 1/2 an hour just to get to an exit for an hour. Depending how far you are from that exit, you are turning off of that's traffic. No accidejust a bunch of idiots that don't know how to merge. And yes most people that are in jersey that can't drive Are not Drivers their seeds from other states. And countries Because now we have people taking down telephone calls. I think Jersey is the only state that has telephone on Stand By just about everyday.. Like I said, i've seen all kinds of idiots out there and they're more to come. That new york And california wasn't bad enough now they're picking on jersey. And yes i've seen some of the dumbest stupidest things possible. That would most likely not get you a job in trucking if they were doing no same exact things. For example, slowing down for no reason.
Sitting at a light making making a turn left hand turn from the right when you're driving a Honda Civic.
These are the kind of dimwits that we have to deal with.. And it's progressing. These people are not Jersey people. Just want to make that clear they have Jersey plates does not mean their Jersey people at all.. But it does not mean I want to drive a truck through the state with these people in it. New york california new jersey the anywhere else but. Which I'm starting to think that's where they're all coming from. With their bad habits and bad driving habits, I should say.. I just have to say that those people there are other people on the road Stop acting like you're the only one that has to be somewhere or Not. Sorry I had To vent. Stop blocking people on single lane roads. Stop pulling your nose out on the streets of your car truck or whatever. Stop doing that, it will be taken off. Why did I get into an accident how did that happen. Those words probably weren't mentioned many times that's the kind of people we're dealing with here coolest mindless twixt that should not have a license. I guess you can figure out why that insurance companies love these people..
