I blame this scent for ruining some of my experiences with modern fresh perfumes like Versace Pour Homme etc. it made them all smell of nothing to me lol. BPH Extreme has been my signature for the longest, the definition of a freshie in my book. Great review, doc!

Funny that you said that this isn't for teenagers since this used to be my high school signature scent a few years ago . I do agree it has a mature vibe however. I still have a bottle of it and whenever i smell it there is something so invigorating and energizing about it. It evokes the images of a green dewy meadow for me. Sadly it didn't really last long on me but definitely a pleasant unique scent.
This fragrance somehow makes me feel well balanced and relaxed.
I bought a backup bottle last week, because it seems to be discontinued.

I just watched this video and it reminded me that I had a bottle of this that I had forgot about. I agree with you that L'eau d' Issey is too sharp, it fine if you are outside and staying outside. This winter I have been wearing Floris Elite and for the summer I had been wearing Floris Cefiro and Bergamotto di Positano . I am going to start wearing Bvlgari Extreme more I do enjoy wearing it. I remember i tried the original pour homme around 2009 in Bangkok. One of the sales assistance sprayed my arm while I was walking at a shopping mall. Wasn't interested at first, but after a while i returned back to her and bought it. I was very impressed because I've never smelled that magical aroma before. Im not an expert in perfumery but after all these years of testing hundreds of fragrances, this is by far one of the best designers men fragrance on markets to date. Can't wait to test the 2024 edp version.

Interesting you brought up Creed Original Vetiver, I love that one! How do you mean btw when comparing that one to Bvlgari PH Extreme? I know you said there's nothing that actually compares, but wondered what you meant by the Creed similarity. Hope this makes it back to you after this long!
Bvlgari Pour Homme/Extreme has been my signature scent since the late 90s and I still wear it till this day! I will go far as saying this is a masterpiece in my book and I have yet to come across anyone who did not like this fragrance on me (compliment magnet). You perfectly described this fragrance and I'm glad to have found your channel. Thanks for your great review/insight!

Try a tester in a mall, after washing hand, i can still smell it on my hand. Dry down smell, mostly green tea + clean musk = very cozy pleasant scent
The Extreme version is definitely the way to go. The Soir flanker from 2006 was a game changer for me when I first smelled it. Didn't know that fragrances could or should smell like that at the time (planty and bitter in the opening), so I wasn't impressed at first, but it taught me to expand my mind a bit. The original and Extreme more in the ballpark of Lauder's Pleasures for Men that came out two years later; although that one goes far more in the fruity, sweet and unisex direction. Cavallier a master when it comes to freshies. Dare I say...even more so than Morillas?
Ah I feel Morillas and Cavallier each have their distinctive styles~ Morillas' perfumes to me have more of an ethereal, abstract quality to them whereas Cavallier is more grounded, traditional, classic.

I remember my dad when he use to go to his work meetings in the morning putting on this amazing fragrance. This scent is so nostalgic.
A derivative of Bvlgari pour Homme is Oolang Infini by Atelier Cologne. Oolang Infini is more photorealistic - very much reminiscent of earl grey tea - so it stands somewhere between Bvlgari pour Homme and Voyage d' Hermes.
Absolutely love this fragrance. It's basically a smoother version of Versace Man Eau Fraiche with the tea note.

EAU Fraiche doesn't smell woodsy, doesn't have a tea note or a green note, like the reviewer says. He also describes it as a mature perfume. Versace Eau Fraiche is the opposite. It's a youthful playful light-hearted fragrance!!
have to agree with adam. To me it smells like a milder issey miakey leau dissey mixed with a more mature versace man eau fraiche.
Yes, petitgrain is prominent here. The green woody accord of bitter orange tree leaves and woody twigs pureed into liquid.
Great review. If you wish to take this incredible fragrance to the next level, spray your skin (or clothing) first with Iso-E-Super, followed by Bvlgari pour Homme Extreme, and topped off again with Iso-E-Super. It will increase the spread and longevity of the fragrance and get many more compliments. Personally, I use it with Escentric Molecules (Molecule 01).
Where can I get the Extreme version? I can only find the original version instead and I want the extreme version so bad.😢

I like the accords but my only concern is that it may be too powdery. I typically don't like powdery fragrances.
You know I forgot to mention in my review, I actually expected the fragrance to be a little powdery given the era but was surprised to find it wasn't, at least for me. Just clean.

extremely underrated fragrance IMO. I used to wear the other back in the day, have recently fallen in love with this (extreme) all over again.

Ph extreme sharp. Sure it stays longer. But Pour homme is more rounded, soothing and alluring.

I only happened to search for this fragrance because my brother uses this and now CDG2, which blew me away. Someone told me Bvlgari is no longer making fragrances; I should prob snatch a bottle before it's too late.

Do they smell similar brother just that the extreme is much stronger version of the pour homme or do they have noticeable differences in their scent profile?

The original and extreme are totally the same scent. Maybe thats why bvlgari discontinued the extreme version.
In Brazil we have back a weaker version of this masterpiece by Natura. It's a shame that Bvlgari discontinued this jewel.
