Miguel sano was a guy I ALWAYS traded for in franchise mode. I always just mashed with him. One time I had 49 HR with him when he only played ~90 games.
That ballistic missile of a home run he hit over the billboard on top of the green monster in 2021 is the most impressive thing I have ever seen on a baseball field.
I really got into baseball at the start of the 2019 season, so I had no idea Sano had this sort of reputation early on his career and I just thought he fell off after a really good season that year. I heard of Profar also having similar hype as a prospect and not being able to deliever, but this was really insightful to see him regarded this highly and how skinny he was in the past. Very cool mini-documentary. Hope he cracks the roster as an Angel and succeeds!
Imagine if he was able to stay consistent and Byron was able to stay healthy🥲🥲 us twins fans don’t have the best of luck. Hopefully Royce is able to break that curse man.
He just played in the Dominican winter league, he couldn’t hit a basketball pitched at him, it’s sad to see how fast he has declined. I don’t the decline has anything to do with age, more than the lack of accountable work ethic.
Perhaps I missed it, but I didn’t hear anything regarding Sano’s alleged SA incident. At the end of the day, the MLB didn’t punish him, but the allegations were certainly plausible and based on my (admittedly little) personal knowledge of the accuser, she was absolutely credible and lost a lot more than he did by coming forward.
Only watchable on x1.5 speed. Also, this is incredibly surface level. The sexual assault accusations at end of 2017 are also part of his downfall story. As you did cover in your video, 2018 was when things started going downhill - but you didn't cover any of the reasons
Fell from what? Hitting .264 (by far his best) back in 2017? Strikes out a ton, missed a lot of time (135 games in 2021, by far his most) so-so fielder, hit 30 HR’s twice (like wow) and was 2-for-19 in two Playoff appearances. I suppose his WAR is better than Reggie Jackson’s? 🙄
Angels legend
😂
Miguel Angel Sano
He’s got a huge chip on his shoulder, I agree he will go beast mode
He pitched better than your actual pitchers too. Btw he is my favorite player.
“Dad, what was second half 2019 Miguel Sano like?”
*Vince McMahon crying meme
Dad what was it like watching Sano in the 2017 ASG and HRD
My favorite HRD of all time

I remember as a kid dreaming on Buxton/Sano being the future 3-4 core of our lineup for years to come
I remember watching the documentary involving him. I thought he he would have been a multiple time all star
Yup we watched it in Spanish class we all were convinced
@@GomerBaseball I just showed it to my Spanish 2 classes 💯💯
I’ve been waiting for this, miss him when he was good

This bouta be a banger
He didn’t try and got fat. Ton of potential back then and can still be a good player. He needs to stay in shape and remain focused
If he would’ve been fit I could see him being a 30-30 player
Great video bro!
Thank you!
Such a good video I was waiting for it 2:14
The hype for him being called up was crazy
8:26 ole Eddie Rosario was on the twins And the Braves record HR teams. Wild.
It's crazy he's he's still so young I never realized how old he was during his peak
Signed him in my franchise in MLB 23, and he hit .211 but hit 40 home runs.
Sounds like Sano lmao
Fantastic video!
Its ridiculous the ageism that is shown towards international free agents
Angel in the Outfield Legend
He’s playing tonight for the angels 😇. HOME RUN fosho
Luckily for Sano, rendon is gonna miss 150 games so he’ll have plenty of playing time
ANGELS LEGEND MIGUEL SANO
The Angels might have something here!
Kennys Vargas didn't have the exact same hype but had some similar attributes.
Imagine if he was able to stay consistent and Byron was able to stay healthy🥲🥲 us twins fans don’t have the best of luck. Hopefully Royce is able to break that curse man.
So much talent just need them to stay on the field
Yordan became what he was suppose to be.
I remember seeing him in AA and I thought he was the next star

Do one on Miguel andujar lol
Man I really thought Sano was gonna be star man
you do a great job on these vids. your voice totally didnt match your face haha you got a great announcer's voice. best of luck
Thank you I appreciate that!
A lot of Dominican Baseball Players are Haitian descent. They lie about their age because they believe that’ll give them a better contract
Make a video about Carlos Correa
does he have any gas left in the system? angels fan here 😂
I think he might, he’s trimmed down and seems to be in better shape. I don’t imagine his play style would change much but he has the power still
Mets should take a flier on him can't be any worse than vogelbach

Sano to the the Angels? That team routinely kills careers...
Yeah, he's done.
One of the worst fielders I have ever seen
It was never a dull moment watching him out there lol
I’m sure that photographer is glad his career is dead. Or that guy he kidnapped
