Wow, I am disappointed that neither doctor seemed concerned nor recommended food, supplement, or life style changes to bring down screaming high TPO. Intervention can help and is important. -- Audrey in Chicago
I have had high antibodies for decades, and symptoms, but kept getting told my thyroid is "fine". But aren't the AB's slowing causing damage to my thyroid and causing my thyroid to not function properly ? It is like the Dr's are just waiting for my bloods to go crazy b4 they even care, then they just dish out thyroid meds and people say they still feel awful on thyroid meds. I have had fatigue for years, weak muscles for years, terrible OTT anxiety for years which is just not normal to me, but Dr's keep saying "your thyroid is fine" . Too much focus on bloods and not symptoms. Its not all abt blood test results. I think I am pretty sure I have just had 10 weeks of thyroiditis - once again I believe I have not been diagnosed properly but left to suffer.
What do you think about the correlation between titanium dental implants (allergy or metal toxicity) and thyroid disease start or aggravation (such as thyroiditis)? Are titanium alloy toxics closely associated with the neuroendocrine and lymphatic systems? Is an autoimmune/autoinflammatory response can be induced by metal adjuvants? There are so many high-ranking academic articles on this topic.
It's not much more clear tho lol the science of endocrinology has a ways to go to determine what can cure thyroid autoimmunity before someone has to take synthetic hormone or have their thyroid removed. Some of us are interested in curing our autoimmunity and not having any antibodies attacking our thyroid
Raymond Douglas, MD, I have a better question. I had cancer and as a result, I have no thyroid, but I still have thyroxine peroxidase AB positive tests. How the hell do I have Graves’ disease, when I don’t even have a thyroid? Why do I have these antibodies attacking my thyroid, when I don’t even have a thyroid? Since I have no thyroid, because of cancer surgery, what exactly is the peroxidase attacking? And does this mean that my Synthroid I take may not be very effective, because of the Graves’ disease? Any advice?

Thank you for this information. Why would someone have extremely high anti-thyroglobulin autoantibodies? All other blood markers were normal. What could be causation? What could be a treatment? Thank you, Julie

I'm here because i can't find anything on thyroglobulin TM number scales... I'm so lost on what is normal. I have a value of 13 and normal on all other T test. can you help with an explanation...?
My sister has Graves’ disease and doctor tested me as my family on my mums side all have autoimmune diseases , my thyroid went out only little bit then went back to normal and keeps doing that so I’m assuming I might not get it but my antibody test came back positive so that’s why I get tested every year . Because I have the antibodies does it mean I will get graves or should I be ok because I’ve had few years now with thyroid hormones going out only ever a little bit then always going back to normal

Can Lupus increase my Thyroid peroxidase antibodies? My doctor think I have Lupus and I saw my results and my thyroid antibodies are really high It’s supposed to be at 0-26 UI/ml and mines are at >600 and my doctor didn’t discuss this with me and I’m worried I’m 15 years old by the way

31 yo male on trt. Tsh was 2.7 then raised to 7.5 in 1 month gave me hypogonadism I stopped trt everything went to normal however I had low t again so I started trt again low dose and 2 weeks since starting I'm starting to feel the weird brain issues again. Can trt cause hypothyroid. I didnt have my thyroid antibodies checked and my doctor won't check them again for 2 months. Is it possible to have a bad thyroid without having an autoimmune disease?
Hmm to begin with it seems you have no clue or understanding of TRT. Secondly, if you would've watched the video you would know the answer to your question.
