Liked the "dancers" on the roof while you were loading muck.
Looked like a cool Christmas sweater. 🎅

I have a ewe who gets this every year after shearing however her wool does not shed, just scabby bare skin and the hair off her face. 3 days of penicillin and blue spray on the sores sorts her out. I also mineraled her, too, just in case.

I'd say Its a cobalt deficiency - scabby ears and losing wool but you are getting it at early stage because they are still in good condition.

Cobalt deficiency was my thought as well

Third this, scabby ears and even some mucky bums which if you’ve got a fec is another tell tale sign. B12 deficient due to lack of cobalt in the diet. Drenching will only cover around 2 weeks mind, bolus is much better for the winter and spring

What about using a lick tub?

Thought this also. The sheep school did a video on his sheep with cobalt deficiency and I know other farmers have suffered with it too.

@@joymad5820might have worked as preventative but not as a treatment as already showing signs of deficiency

Do sheep get affected by different endofites on the grass? Can happen when you move to new ground? I like the look of those cross’s 👌👌

Ah my glasses have that too. Good for your eyes. Annoying for filming 🙈 if anything makes me jump properly into contacts, it’ll be the film aspect of my life lol.

Is there any St Johns Wort where the ewe lambs are grazing? That can cause some strange reactions like blistering and fleece loss, that's what I suspected with a couple of mine

Sheep school youtube had similar probs with scabby ears, have you considered bolus`???

Sheep scab not just sheep to sheep 100 ways it can spread. Suffolk are hard work. I'd look at the easycare wool shedding

I’m aware it’s not sheep to sheep can be from wool on a piece of wire or anything but they’ve never been anywhere near anywhere

It's face looks very swollen l, seen it before a few times but can't remember the name or cause they very rarely got over it. Was a bacterial infection of some sort
