I just picked up my little boy from school. We grabbed his favorite lunch and parked for a little car picnic. I put on your video (anxiety guarantees that I have to do 25 things at once to keep my brain occupied) to watch while I ate. My kiddo has severe autism and can often get overwhelmed when I watch things on my phone. I kept the volume low and sat the phone down to watch. I looked in the rear view and he is happily watching with me. You have his seal of approval! :-) He doesn’t give many videos a chance so it’s an honor.
@@Grackle His main fave is Chic-fil-a nuggets and most members of the chicken nugget family. He is big on foods that are very consistent in taste and texture. They are a lot easier for him to handle sensory-wise. He also loves all kinds of chips (crisps?) with big flavors, chocolate chip cookies, bananas. He’s very suspicious of any foods you have to eat with a spoon, but we are working on it. Haha
I love how you give yourself the sightly broken egg! If anyone handmade my lunch I'd be so made up I would give a toss about the presentation! You're so sweet to your family!!
I feel like the secret to the perfect pasta Salat is adding sun dried tomatoes in oil. You get the heartiness of the dried tomatoes and the oil makes the salad less dry and is also often already seasoned with herbs and garlic so it just gives the salad so much more taste

I’m a 33 year old mom of four kids (6,8,9,11) Yes, sometimes I’m dog dead tired, but I always enjoy making things for them that I know they will enjoy and sticking little notes and stuff in things that will make them smile. Some days things are simpler than others, but just because some things are “I have to do this” chores doesn’t mean it has to take the enjoyment out of it :) I get pleasure out of caring for my family :)
I had a girl friend who used to make me sandwiches for my fishing trips...I'd open them up with my fishing mates and she had put flowers and bits of paper with kisses on and stuff! I got so much stick from them but secretly I loved these little surprises! the sandwiches were nice too!

My packed lunch when i was in school - Pepperami, lunchable, wotsits, ham sandwich, capri sun Grace - cream cheese bagel with deconstructed grazing platter, assembled on a bed of fresh vegetables served with an exquisite dipping sauce, olives and the finest cold cuts
“When I have kids, how will I know if I’ve fed them enough” You will know because until you feed them enough they say “muuuuummy, I’m hungry” “what’s for snack?” “Is it snack time?” “Can I have a snack?” “Can I have more please?”. You’ll get about a 10 minute period between each meal time that they won’t be asking😂
I'm pretty sure you'll overfeed them if you give them food every time they whine 😂 Source: I used to complain about being hungry whenever I was bored. Actually who am I kidding, 24 year old me still does that LOL
You know what would be cool? If you had the family do a little vlog section on their break tucking into their food. So we can see their reaction and they rate it out of 10. Eeek I'm excited just saying it!! Please do more grace, love it! Xx

GRACE while working with your deep boxes, add kitchen roll or napkins or something on top of the main lunch (like your salad or pasta) then add the fruit and nibbles THEN put the lid on. I do this with my and my family's lunches and it works a treat if you don't have a bento box. HIGHLY recommend this method to anyone else but apart from that, i LOVED the look of these scrumptious meals! Love ya! >3
There's something so wholesome about making food for other people??? it's such an outright statement of 'I love you, I care about you, please make sure you eat', especially when there's so much care and effort put into it. (Also all the lunches looked SPECTACULAR)
You need some silicone liners! I have various sizes of round cupcake liners and some rectangular ones that are great for lunch boxes. I use them for wet items like olives and fruit.
We bought a bento box for our 4-year-old when he started at forest school about a month ago. It's a great way to use up leftovers, and a good reminder to get the variety in there since you have little sections to fill up. If you do baby-led weaning and then child-directed feeding, your kids will (almost guaranteed) not have any food issues - they'll know when they're hungry, they'll know when they're full. It's when we messed up adults try to intervene and make a list of shoulds and musts and ifs that kids get mixed up
Honestly, watching “what my kids are having for lunch” on insta is one of my favourite things (even though I have no kids 😂), so this video with Grace really elevated the experience! I just love the lunch inspo!

@@pavithrashaji I work at a deli and we do that. It’s pretty standard to insure shell comes off. White vinegar is another substitute. You are just boiling until done, it’s not long enough to penetrate through the shell.
This is so true! Lol we moved to a different state and my Husband was able to keep his job just working remotely and I homeschool our 4 girls, after a few days he was like how in the world do you manage to teach in between feeding them?! Lol

For eggs run it under cold water, tap the bottom and the top and peel from the tip. Works for a perfect egg every time. Peeling from the tip breaks the membrane so it peels easily.
Don't you get super hungry? I used to work at a school in England and all the teachers ate their raw vegetables and fruit while I ate my sandwich lol Is that a teacher thing??

When I was a kid, I would eat a full back of mozarella pearls after school. My mum would then shout at me for eating it because it was meant for the family dinner lol
I always hated putting packed lunches together. Our schools had so many restrictions on what we could put in a packed lunch that in the end it was easier to just let the, have school lunches. Nuts are not allowed in our schools and in primary ours were not allowed crisps or chocolate. If any staff found any of those items in their lunch they got confiscated.

Get a cool bag I think they make lunch sized versions now. Often though there is a fridge in staff rooms.
