@user-hq7js2wf7h Fair enough. But play the very same game again and again, with the excuse of be a remaster, remake, remaster of the remake and remake remake is even worse. In my opinion, of course.
@@ByTorAndMe I think you misunderstood me. What I'm saying is that seeing these here reminds me just how good the original already was, regardless of this comparison. Original version for me was on Xbox, anyway
We grew up in a very specific time that allowed us to enjoy this classic. They dont make many games like this anymore. I played this first on ps2 i think it was. Played it again 10yrs later and it was so good but didnt have that childhood euphoric magic.
at 2:55 i'm pretty sure there is water reflections even in original version, maybe not in ps2 version, but the rest (PC, Xbox) have water reflections and a nice one.
honestly, the original looks basically the same in most places, better in some and worse in a few. Especially Jade herself.. Why did they make her lips wider? Looks like fish lips in quite a few places. I mean, just pause aft 1:50 just before the scene changes.
No, just get the original on PC or Xbox 360. The only doodads are a treasure hunt that are cutscenes you can watch on TH-cam (and imo don't fit the original tone of the game), and there are far too many weird differences in the art direction.
Ubisoft, could has been created a Remake of this game adding new technologies as FSR, DLSS or Ray Tracing... with those kind of technologies, this game could be look much better than a simple increases its colour pallets.
I'm just gonna stick with the original. Ubisoft pulled a Rockstar/Grove Street Games move and not only delisted the PS3 and Xbox 360 version, but also ruined the art direction and atmosphere. Also 30 FPS on Switch and separate graphics options on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for a "remaster" of a 2003 game? Pretty bad optimization! So scared of what they'll do with Rayman and Splinter Cell remasters!
14:29 I don't think they intentionally lightened her skin or anyone else's. It's a consequence of the new lighting. 11:38 Edges glow more and you see more shadowing (e.g. on her neck).
Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition (PS5) vs Beyond Good & Evil HD (PS3) comparison.
Drop the video a 👍 if you enjoyed it 🙂
Still holds up after all these years. What bothers me is how the sequel never progressed beyond that tech demo trailer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Well after losing their director, you can expect it to be a much longer development

As far as i know, the 20 anniversary edition includes a NEW mission that's related to what we've seen of BGE2
This just reminds me how good the original already was, especially those water effects

Does anyone else see the similarities in humor and design of this game and ratchet and clank series ?

Final fantasy vii crsis core reunion, metroid prime remastered...why couldn't you do the same ubisoft!? This brute diamond deserved a better treatment
I love that this is a thing and nostalgic great games are given a second life ! Cant wait to buy this game again
8:26 Hahn looks soo much better now
Yasuke Confirmed.
dude rocking that Balenciaga drip now

So I have a question as someone that haven’t played the original(sadly) would buying the anniversary edition worth it?
Yes
I dont speak English
Si sí vale la pena
@@Mrpacman-gj6ch ah ok thanks my fiancee translated it for me

I never played this game. Is it good?
incredible
Awesome game, definitely recommended if you've never played
I love it, it's just $20 it should take you about 2 or 3 days to finish it on your first go.
I see big lighting changes feel better to play

Has Jade gotten whiter? Could be the lighting, but nobody else seems to look whiter.
Not really

Did modernize controls?
Yes
The water is sooo screwed in the remaster!!!
So what u think not huge difference or
Textures are a lot better especially characters
16:26 original have reflection the 20 anniversary don't
17:28 the damn mustache look good on 20
16:26 The reflections are still clearly there. When the waves move, they obscure parts of the reflection more. And it's slightly more diffuse.
Water is bad... very bad...
The character models are still outdated with the hair
It's a remaster, not a remake.
What the fucking hell!?!? They lightened Jade's skin color. Edit: Scratch that, they seem to have done it with everyone! What the fuck!
Wrong, Hahn is more black now

To me it is her new hair that looks weird.
They made the guy in the suit black.
Someone clearly doesn't understand lighting...
