I would like to see an “Opportunity to disengage” consideration in making the targeting calls. The play when our D lineman got ejected, unless he could grow wings and fly over the quarterback there was no way he was avoiding that kind of collision. Maybe still a yardage penalty but no ejection on unavoidable helmet contact.
The staff believes Rice and potentially Carlyle are both here for one year. I think that is the pitch to Brown and Mullins. That would be a heckuva back court to recruit.

Also didn’t really understand the second ejection that was a shoulder pad hit when they had just showed the crown of the helmet animation.
