I forgot to comment yesterday Jimmy! We did enjoy the video, had to leave quick, my brother got transferred closer to home! Hope you are having a great week!
After explaining the importance of controlled air intake to the Mass Air Flow Sensor, the inexpensive connecting tube would be a no-brainer. Even expert advice can't keep us from making poor decisions. I guess you see it year after year.
You would be amazed how easily aftermarket "CAI's" cause MAF issues, MAF are extremely sensitive calibrated sensors, that increase in airflow usually causes intermittent starting/idling issues. It's a lot of headache for a sub-5hp increase or no increase at all.. most "CAI" designs just suck in hot air anyway
Should have unplugged sensor to determine if the signal is a pull up or pull down design. Sometimes the signal wire is broke that would have a bias voltage on then you’d have no signal also
Enjoy the time off Jimmy, the decline on the inexpensive rubber bellow is disheartening.. we both know what happens when you run an engine over time with no filter.. sigh. Appreciate the video regardless!
Absolutely. I have zero sympathy for those people. I've seen people that run their junk into the ground but don't hesitate to spend an entire pay/welfare check on a tattoo. Its priorities..
@@JimmyMakingitwork you sure work on a lot of Nissans too! Lol! I hate their wiring, and engines! Just no comparison to Toyota or Honda in my opinion! I just do t think they last as long? What you think? You know them better than me! I’m retired! Lol
One of the few positive mechanics that been at for a while. Too many negative Nancy's out there if you know what I mean. Good video as always
Very true, thank you!
Thanks for the video Jimmy. Looking forward to what you saved us for tomorrow.
You bet, I hope it works well for you that I separated the days repairs. :)
I love the 2002-2004 Nissan Xterras. I used to own one. It came from the factory with a supercharger.
Awesome!
Another Great day in the shop!
Yes it was! Haha
Brilliant as always 🎉🔧🔧
Thank you! Cheers!

@@COBRO98 Good information, Cobro.
Yeah, all I can do is keep explaining it and hope it gets to the right ears, haha.
I hope that you enjoyed your holiday weekend. Interesting on the Nissan how some people will not spend a little money along to keep their vehicles up.
Very true! He might fix it a little at a time I think.

Thanks Phil.
I usually ohm out the good sensor vs the bad.
That is another good test!

Enjoy your days off!
Thanks Steve!
we all live in a yellow Nissan , we all live in a yellow Nissan ,a yellow submarine 🎶 🎶

What do you put in your aerosol can to clean the parts?
Brake Clean, it comes in bulk rather than using cans.
We have a 55 gallon drum of brake clean.
Morning.... How was the miny vaca?
Very nice, some good family time and helped with a project, good memories.
Thanks!
You fipsed the banana Nissan ! 😂
Gotta do what we gotta do!
He's got more duct tape (or Gorilla tape) at home for the unmetered air leaks Jimmy!
Absolutely. I have zero sympathy for those people. I've seen people that run their junk into the ground but don't hesitate to spend an entire pay/welfare check on a tattoo. Its priorities..
Haha so true!
Jimmy, I wouldn’t call that Nissan a truck! lol! Almost as bad as Ford! Lol
Haha, I kind of like them. But the closest I’ve come is a Pathfinder I had for a little while.

Why buy new rubber boots when a roll of duct tape will do. Maybe it's the customers way of achieving a hot air intake.
lol
