Also a quick fun fact about Pentatonix is that they didn't cancel a single show for SIX YEARS until last December when a doctor strongly advised that they don't do the show so they took Sara's words to heart about how you have to work through anything. Scott has such a versatile voice it's so impressive and when you add that with Mitch and Kirstie's background vocals it's like heaven! :D That beginning part where they're both working together to mimic the sound of a motorcycle remains one of my top five moments of theirs. Can't wait to watch you react to the next one since it also has Kirstie's wonderful vocal talents leading again.
Kevin and Avi are beasts when it comes to the base and vocal percussion. They were so dead on with their sound effects that if I heard this without watching the video you couldn't tell me I wasn't listening to an actual car revving up. Kirstin did not sound sick at all and so glad she had the energy to do the performance. Scott as usual killed it. I end up watching PTX videos a minimum of five times just so I can focus on each of them individually as they sing their part of a song. It always amazes me how I can get five different vibes from the same song by focusing on each one individually. Thanks for another great reaction. Scott can really sing anything. He like Kirstie and Mitch started in musical theater as a child. Being from Texas he also sang Country music and was on I think that kids Star Search that was brought back for a little when he was like a preteen. Then chior in HS along with R&B and Pop with Mitch and Kirstie. Truthfully all five of them can do just about anything. Avi is classically trained opera singer. You already know the type of skilled musician that KO is. It's amazing what just five people can do when they have that much talent between them.
It's not until afterwards during the judging that you can tell Kirstie was sick. She looks exhausted and is not her usual bubbly self. She is so quiet.
This one is probably my favorite, and heaven knows, I love each and every one, but this one kills. The "fire your...guns" line, with the pause and then the explosive..."guns," is super, and the base and drum were fabulous! Legendary!
I'm glad to hear someone that realizes how many things were happening in this performance that were truly amazing! This is one of my favorites! they even did "na na na na's" like backup vocals would have been when this song was on the radio! And Avi was a bass guitar throughout! Also, Scott's vocals ! what you said! Same here! they managed to rock!

First of all beautiful family...they look so happy and as the mother of 3 girls you have a real cutie darling there. This was one of my favorite performances and as you said it's so clean. I'm tone deaf but I can tell that this performance was so perfect. The other groups had up and down pitch problems that even I noticed. Great reaction.

Well, I'm the maverick: THIS ONE IS IT for me! The first time I watched Born to Be Wild was the first of about 30 times that same day. PTX was totally out of their element and they totally killed it. Challenge: Watch this one, then go back and watch the clip from Easy Rider with the original Steppenwolf track. Now I ask you: Which version has a kind of hippie, freebird, easy-rider-with-the-focus-on-EASY feel to it, and which is a driving, relentless, ROCK track? OK, I'm biased, but I was AROUND in the 60s. The original is in my blood. And I prefer the PTX version. .................... .................... Spoilers below (the other two "standout" songs): ................... I've always hated this song!!! Only 2 versions I've ever been able to tolerate was their's and Adam Lambert's!!
