I do professional laser hair removal and have just ordered one of these because I have so many clients who have used this in the past and had amazing results but they just prefer someone else doing it, and I hate doing my own laser hair removal in clinic. The one thing I would say is do not wax, thread or pluck before using this. There needs to be a hair in the follicle, as IPL/ laser works by targeting the pigment in the hair, so by shaving you are just cutting the top of the hair off. It then heats up the hair causing trauma to the hair follicle so another hair can’t grow back. So when you wax/ thread/ pluck you are pulling the whole hair out so there is nothing for the laser to find. Hope you all have amazing results ☺️
Thanks so much for your reviews they are so helpful! What do you think about the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL?! I’m deliberating between getting the Philips Lumea 9000 or the Braun.
You should Shave. If you thread your are removing the follicle, which is what the IPL is targeting. So for best results it’s better to shave. HOWEVER, you can thread in between. Then shave again just before doing the IPL.
Hey Saba🤍I bought this machine after your reviews. I have used it once. Do I have to clean the attachments after using? I can see stain like marks in the main body attachment. Please let me know what you did🤍
@@sabaali88 ah okay thanks! The one I checked online (Philips lumea IPL 9000) says it only has 450 laser flashes which doesn't sound like it's going to last very long... I think it's the same as the one you have? For around 450$
Probably best to ask the company.. But they’re likely to say that it is at your own risk. Objectively speaking, it may struggle to work because during pregnancy and right after birth your hormones are all over the place, and when hormones fluctuate they affect hair growth.

Hey Fatma, if you can clean it straight away then you can otherwise it never comes off. But either way it doesn’t effect how the machine works 💞💞
Update please
How much does the replacement piece cost? The one after the laser is used up
That won’t run out for years but if it does then the whole machine needs to be replaced
