excellent video, but I am surprised that the OEM didn't already grease the gears when you disassembled a new drill - anyways which lithium/synthetic grease did you use, can you tell me the make and NLGI number?
@@mechanified-hindi Thanks NLGI-3 is classification or thickness quotient of Grease Not type of Grease (types are : Lithium, molybdenum, synthetic, dielectric, Hybrid, Teflon, Silicone) and Rotary Hammer will use NLGI-1 or 2 but type could be any so it is thin - like best in rotary hammers would be molybdenum grease of NLGI-1 or 2).. (Your cordless impact drills / Impact Wrenches should use Silicone grease of NLGI3) Thanks I understand what type of grease it is if purchased locally it is NLGI-3 Lithium grease.
Thanks for correcting me. I meant nlgi3 for petroleum based grease (general purpose) On the hammer grease I use, there aren't any specs at all. Also, the grease manufacturers use in spindle of angle grinders is probably nlgi2 (not 3 for sure). I searched in some prime locations, but couldn't find it. If you find it somewhere, let me know pls
I have a gsb 1300, can i use a on/off switch from a gsb 1600 which has a wheel for variable speed? My on/off switch looks like the one in your vid, without that wheel for variable speed....though it says it has variable speed, controled by the pressure on the switch or something...
Video was helpful thanks, I have a BOSCH GSB 16 RE PRO (220v South Africa, and very old now) and i dismantled it today without looking at any videos just to fix an annoying shortage in the wire which required me to bend the cable in order for it to drill every time, i sorted that but upon closing up the drill i found a long thin black piece of metal 4,5 cm in length and has U shaped notches at both ends and one end is 90 degrees turned too... any idea where this piece of metal goes? I tried the drill without it and it seems a slight bit louder without it? could also be because i havent returned the screws yet , going to do that now! Thanks if you have an answer for me...
@@mechanified-hindi I actually never ever found out what it was. Drill is since then weaker so I have upgraded to 18V Brushless and such a big difference it is!
Bhai, iskeliye kya ITI? Maine kuch nahi bataya is video mein. Sirf dikhaya ki andar kya design hai. Agar aapko seekhna hai to machine ko khole aur samjho....
I have purchased same Bosch drill machine 2 years ago. I am not using this drill machine much. Can you please recommend me after how many month I can service/ greasing drill machine and what kind of grease I can use.
I have an 18 volt dc motor. It works intermittently. I gave electricity directly from the brushes again, the engine is running. one stands. what is the problem
Pls make a detailed video about differences between bosch 501, 550, 500, 600 and similar Bosch models of drill machines. Also give your opinion for best one for home and DIY use. PLEASE I AM REALLY CONFUSED! Drill machine should be suitable for all usage .
Sir, there is nothing to get confused. Let me explain. Check the power you need. How much watts? What size chuck you need.? 10 or 13mm? 501,550,600 13mm 500, 10 mm kit
@@mechanified-hindi what if I have to use drill for concrete as well as metal and wood. Normal drill machines are not effective when we use them in concrete.
@@mechanified-hindiAs I think professional user can be specific about his requirements but when it comes to home usage, we can't be specific. That's why I am confused.
I was struggling to put the carbon brush. It turns out very easy after watching this video. Thanks.

yes.....only kit difference

Nlgi3. Lithium grease will leak off and can cause issues suits only for rotary hammers.
@@mechanified-hindi so which company grease did you use? and model?
All nlgi3 are same. Bosch, servo, hp, veedol..... Etc....
Lithium grease I get from local market, unbranded, chinese, 50₹/ tube (very expensive)

I would recommend and myself follow a re-greasing shedule after 20-30 hrs of continuous usage of my power tools.

For heavy work on concrete, go with Hammer Drill.
Or else get gsb 550/600 for all in one purpose
