Couple years ago I did 2 70.3s and 2 marathons back to back (and I'm very far from the pro, lol) I ran New York already feeling dizzy and sick but pushed through it. It was some virus (covid test was negative but who knows) and I felt like shit for many months with palpitations, vertigo and fatigue. Don't be me :) take care of yourself and step back if necessary.

Sorry mate, didn't mean to get in your head with the bloodwork comment. Sounds like you have a good handle on your training load. Your markers such as irritability with friends are a good suggestion. Best of luck at the race.

Not at all! I just thought it was a really interesting topic and something that shouldn’t be overlooked. More like your comments were heard rather than ignored, and that people should be more aware that fatigue can be acute and chronic, but to differentiate is very difficult and so people have to be either very self aware, or rely on others, or both! ☺️ thank you for the comments, definitely useful and hopefully valuable for others too

Hopefully it didn’t come across that I was demeaning or disregarding your comments in the commentary

@@Josh_lewishah, no not at all. Hope you didn't think i was being too presumptious by telling you, a professional athlete, how to take care of your own body. 😅

Nono, honestly sometimes professionals have the least knowledge of what’s going on with our bodies 😂 you never know what might help … we are stubborn creatures
