I'm not a huge fan of the bike park style course at Lenzerheide, but it did make for a great race. There was enough natural terrain to make it challenging, but had fast, open sections with some nice jumps.. I much prefer the course at Val Di Sole because of how technical it is. Back in the late 90's early 2000's we would just run some tape down the side of a mountain and call it a course. Sick, East Coast USA, roots and rocks.
Remember back around 2015, all anyone could talk about was wheel size and who was running 27.5 and who was still running 26, or even who dared to run 29? The commentators had entire discussions about wheel size. Now I don't even know who runs 27.5 or 29. Plus with the new UCI rule stating both wheels can be different sizes, some riders will run the 27.5 - 29er set up of old. I used to run a 24in rear with a 26 inch front on a Specialized Bighit around 2001. I liked the geometry of a smaller wheel in the rear as it made the front higher, so on the steeps it didn't feel so aggressive. But in the last 20 years the single most important improvement has been geometry of bikes. Head angles are a lot more relaxed and wheelbases are longer to give bikes better stability.
3:25 "I don't really like you" LOL
Salute to the legend ripping the 26in Trek Session at 2:47. Mid turn back wheel lock up looking mint!
lol i noticed that too, that bike was way too small and the frame looked old, what is he doing there? who is that?
@@cougar231000 I would like to know as well. He looks like a XL size guy on a S bike
@@cougar231000 hahaha small bike? Naaaah youre wrong!
26" is not dead!
I'm glad that wheel size debate isn't a huge thing anymore. It seems like back in 2015 it's all they could talk about.
10:31 Warner deserves a meme for that one
plus a nice big boiled egg
2:11 Me every 5 minutes, after switching to clipless pedals.

All we need is vital raw , and nothing else.
6:46 literally completely silent when he touches down. He's godda be one of the smoothest riders ever, honestly.
bruni + ohlins = smooth silence
This is better than the Race. Thanks a lot.
Man, vital raw has carried me through hours of boring homework. Thank you!

Sick video G‘s!
last clip was naughty!
Just great everything ,thank you. Just my opinion.
I'd love to see some shots which don't track the riders to get a better idea of how fast they're going.
The whistle goes sheeeesh
Thanks for not having the microphone right next to the fucken whistle guy as with many other videos on youtube.
Warner's glasses had a good downhill run.
5:08 Laurie so light he's flyinggg

nice video
I'm new to this, can someone explain the whistles? Thanks in advance!
Warning that a rider is passing by to let ones down the course know they are coming.
Why is always Goldstone appearing in your videos and not any other junior?
Diggin' these whistles more
Right? I noticed these aren't the standard whistles with the little ball in it. Lol
Is Gwin back already?
