I love how Bridgeport backstories also include the homeless sims as well. As far as I know, no other sims 3 neighborhoods incorporate them quite as much as Bridgeport did.
i guess that makes sense in a big city vs suburb, farm town, or a tropical paradise
Your man in the wall proves that you should be writing lore for the sims.
When you choose the "vegetarian" trait then all the food will automaticly change to the veggie versions. So yes, its veggie steak and veggie rolls what the teens like, not meat^^

Hmm. In my game there are separate choices for Tri-tip Steak and Tri-tip Tofu Steak. They are not interchangeable, and the bookstore sells separate recipes for them. From what I can see, it's as she said in the video, they have the vegetarian trait but their favorites are not vegetarian. That's not odd - even if I switched to a veggie diet I would still like steak most of all, I just could not have it. (Not fond of the vegetarian trait TBH.)

@@JETWTF I am pretty sure this is the pack that creating a band was induced so the sims team wanted any sim you could run into to have the ability to be in a band without having to go into their family and put it in.
@@addyshorhnr3544 Makes no sense that way just as it makes no sense that everyone has a musical instrument. Virtuoso sims having a musical instrument makes all the sense. Adding more of them into the town over other characteristics does too. Adding a music only venue makes more sense though music only wasn't in the game.
Just because something is introduced does not mean cover it all over everything else regardless of sensible generic logic. Doing that detracts from the introduction by making it less special.
A better intro to bands would be make the town the "Music City" of the game world and quadruple the NPC's with the virtuoso trait, and even out the instruments they have so all have equal representation rather than most having keyboards as they do.
You join that world with a new family or a virtuoso one saved from another town you know it is music oriented. Then you want to visit to main town park and find Sim's playing instruments. It isn't the art gallery for where it's at in this town but where an instrument would be placed and played and that's usually the town center park for most everything.
Zelda Mae's cousin Lydia Mae is a keyboard commando against her cousins guitar hero skill and she can tickle the ivory just fine if you invite her into your band. That's the kind of messaging for NPC's that works logically. But Bob the unemployed sculptor or Jane the massage parlor receptionist or Jack the chef. or Karen the typist would not have a musical instrument in inventory, they are not virtuoso traited and should not have a musical instrument.
The “man in the wall” glitch happens in everyone’s game, because of the placement of the mailbox. All that is needed to fix it is to build a two-tile wall one tile away from the existing wall, and place the mailbox there. This way, sims will spawn in the lobby instead of spawning inside the walls.
So, the moral of the story is: don’t place mailboxes on walls that have the hidden room marker on the other side.
I hope the devs left that glitch in deliberately for lore purposes
Once,my female sim was living in an apartment and she went to visit her neighbor after she knocked,she suddenly got moved and stuck in the walls. I had to restart the game.
We really need world adventures lore or some of the university kids , I love these videos tho 🤍🖤

@@rachael5300 in world adventures there's an evil corporation, old case of kidnapping and mystical legendary object that can shake the world and I'm not even mentioning all those side legends mentioned in some tasks/adventures (no idea how are they called in english)
Excellent suggestion girl. Some quest lines in world adventures is connected to specific features like nectar, martial arts, and special artifacts.
@@zofiazyta7010 Damn I had no idea!! When I took my Sim and her 2 kids to China, she randomly stopped being their mom and the kids started flirting with her, so... I don't really fw World Adventures anymore.
If I remember correctly those university households don't even have a description. But I remember a guy kinda looks like Sheldon in big bang theory

Boy all the rooms in that house look unnatural in a way. They’re so big and yet barely furnished. It doesn’t feel like anybody actually lives there, although I’m not sure if that’s intentional because they want to make things seem off or if that’s just the way the Sims Team built most townie homes back then.

I figure that Jett and Elspeth are just huge fans of the guy in their posters, so I looked at the 2 posters of him in buy mode- the descriptions imply that he’s 2 different people?
The first poster claims that his name is Bill Andromeda of the band “Edgy, Edgy Bill”,
but the second poster says that he’s Heinrich Stübbman of “The Gypsies” he looks the same in both posters and in the intro

The amount of research and detail you go into is amazing! And definitely makes me realise I did not pay enough attention to the sims 3, I took it for granted! The lore. Oh and you have to do a mini sims 3 drama about the man in the wall! I was so I got that!

I'm currently playing with these households. Frankly, I started doing this because I was bored and I wanted to cause problems on purpose, but now I'm invested in making the lives of the remaining household members better. In the beginning of my game, Jeffrey and Lady were fighting just about every time they crossed paths. At one point, Jeffrey saw Lady flirting with Alan Stanley, got upset, and went to a dive bar where he ended up having a public makeout session with Tiara Angelista. The next morning, Lady found out and woke up Jeffrey to yell at him. At this point, I locked them in their room and essentially forced them to fight with each other until they died. So now it's just Elspeth and Cressida, plus the Atkins household that I moved in so that the house wouldn't be so empty and Cressida could be closer to her family. It just made sense to me. So now Elspeth is working on mastering all of the instruments, Jett wants to become an actor, and Cressida is working in the medical career like she always wanted.
You can fight to the death?
Im currently also playing with the Cook family and man did I start drama . Basically I fixed Jeffrey and Lady's relationship and then made Jeffrey have an affair with Cressida who was cheating on him with Reuban Littler, then I had Lady discover the affair be furious and then Jeffrey discovered that Cressida was cheating on him and he was angry honestly not surprised Reuban didn't care he was being cheated on as well any way Lady kicked Cressida out of the house. Now u might be thinking Lady and Jeffrey got divorced but NO mainly because Lady is a spiteful, petty child of a Llama and won't sign the divorce papers because then she would have to get a job. Elspeth and Jett are dating so that's nice. Oh and Cressida may be pregnant with Reuban's baby and is a level 3 celebrity with a cheater reputation.😊
Oh and I'm making Jett look just like the famous guitarist in the posters
Ew, something about the balcony with a view of the public school really creeps me out. Which member of the household passes the time watching other people’s kids on the playground? Maybe Jeffery uses his reputation is a reputable politician to excuse his blatant creepiness...
My friend and I did a playthrough together once where we kept having Jeffrey steal campaign funds whenever the option came up, and once the family had a decent amount of simoleons we'd have Jeffrey die by drowning - pretending that Lady was responsible. Then Lady would have Cressida killed for witnessing the murder and threatening to tell Elspeth. We had Elspeth grow up to become a cop/detective to try and solve the murders of her father and friend.

Your "how many drumkits does a person need" left me hollering, as my dad is a drummer. We have at least six drumkits at home, one electronic one and then various other drums. :D
I remember waiting for Sims 3 as well. The open world thing was just so cool. TBH I got the game at the end of its cycle with only 2-4 expansion packs and it was the most fun to explore all the career options. I made it to level 10 of the Cooking career and got the best fridge ever in the game. I haven't even attempted Sims 4 yet, but I miss all the content Sims 3 had to offer.

I never played with premade households but whenever I played a teen in Bridgeport Jett was my teens Love Interest and Elsbeth their bff (or the other way around depending on my teens sexuality and gender) So those two where my favourite townies in the whole game!
Man Lady Cook is everywhere downtown in my game she's always trying to get into VIP rooms at the bars and clubs and always gets rejected. She thinks she's Paris Hilton 😆. The music video is iconic love it 💅
The part where you just say "the man in the wall" reminds me of every scary countdown video ever 😂 it's so dramatic and I love it

Def gonna make Elspeth become a politician and at the moment in my game she's best friends with Atkins but probably will put them together and have a family in the future :D
I downloaded a mod that shows hidden skills and I found out that Elspeth has 1 point in chess and 4 points in hacking ! Which is not possible unless she is a computer whiz so maybe it's to highlight her rebellious nature ?

Thanks for all this information! So I never play this family at the start, but whenever I get to them Cressida and Elspeth are usually a couple as Elspeth has aged up to a young adult at that point.

What if Ryan Atkins abandoned his family because his wife died in childbirth and blamed his son for it and only recently have they gotten to know each other but his mother still doesn't forgive him for abandoning his child over something he couldn't control.
One of the best base game features, is the reputation system, if you are messing around with a bunch of people everyone in town will be calling you a Natasha.
Everytime I play in Bridgeport, Cressida is a Fairy, and sometimes her mother an aunt are too.
"Object - delete it" gets me every time XD
When I was playing my movie star character in Bridgeport, Jeffery Cook would not STOP trying to come onto my sim. Like no dude Vivianna isn't doesn't to clown.

Tbh I'd really love to see how you are playing with those families, how you decide to progress their stories. Doesn't need to be a long video, just like 1-2 episodes of the gameplay. I haven't played with the majority of the families you've touched on and seeing them living their life just makes me very curious as to where you personally might progress the lore. Just an idea. Loved the video!

Funnily enough I’m playing with the Cook family now and in my storyline Lady dumps her husband and moves out to leech off of a richer man, Jeffrey Cook remarries a younger woman (young adult) who is trying to set him on the right path and this new woman befriends Elspeth and gives her music compositions as gifts.
Cressida is still living in the Cook household for now and is pursuing her dreams of becoming a doctor. I do plan on having her move out eventually, but only when Elspeth grows up and moves out for college and work. I also want Jett and Elspeth to become a couple.

Atm, I’m playing with Agnes crumplebottom but I wanted to add in a bit of spice so I had her have a child with her ghost husband when he came out of his grave, she had a son and I had her give him to the goth family to raise, she changed her name by going to the city hall to Darleen love and now she’s living as a mermaid in Isla Paradiso where she’s going to build up a family of mermaids
