RULES EDIT:
13:38 - Durable got updated only reduces the first crit by one damage not all, Rapid also updated to only impact MOVE specific not charge.
22:00 - Balefire can't double cast without equipment - needs to roll also.
16:36 - a Mispeak on the annointeds wounds, ended up giving him +1 wounds (he deserves it)
re the 09:00 one - the errata is regarding if the Marine died on his own activation, after already taking 2 bolter shots via BD (I honestly can't see how this could ever happen). He died on your opponent's activation, so there was no restriction. It was played correctly in the video.

You can shoot again with WoV as long as you dont die in your own activation. The errata just covers you not being able to fire a third time by shooting twice and then running into something like a kasrkin melta mine and get a third shot in your own activation
Additional note: the Balefire's Malign Influence doesn't affect his psychic shots, even if you could use two psychic powers in one activation. Malign Influence affects 'weapons that operative is equipped with', and psychic powers aren't equipped weapons (which is why the FAQ clarifies they're also not affected by being injured!)
(additional Legionary tactical note: it's never worth trying to save a roll that's been failed that badly. Hope they make their saves, then spend your CP on Veterans of the Long War instead and just redo the whole dang attack! So much better, you just have to adjust your thinking/remember that you've got that in your back pocket)

At @13:38 he's talking about reducing crit damage. If that's because of the Durable chapter trait that only applies to one crit per combat/shooting attack. Not all crits.

Hey Russ, fellow legionnaire here… I think life siphon is a better spell when dealing with a single target
I agree, Im never sure why i hunt for splash damage LS is more shots so you're much more likly to push damage through especially against high save models - i know this ... and yet....i'm a deeply flawed person XD i think its the allure of the ultimate fireblast shot, all crits - 4 mortal wounds and then 16 damage (20 total) - but realistically you get 2 hits and they save them both - i need to learn this lesson
If you are doing a second psychic power you need to roll for it using the equipment item.
Just to note: the Acolyte cannot perform two Manifest Psychic Power actions in one Activation without a special equipment item. Even then he has to roll a 3+ on a d6 or take mortal wounds and his spell fizzles.

I was going to say the same thing. If you're going for theme, don't half-arse it for competitiveness.
I can imagine a world in which an emperors child...ren? starts worshiping tzentch - that's the whole joy of a made up universe, you can make stuff up - Khorne Tsons? - coming right up XD

I know what you mean, there were a few dice rolls and strat phases where i didnt end up cutting them down as much as normal so maybe too much of the chatter going on, noted
That voice.....that damn EC voice, gets me everytime....
The funny thing is that for all the horrible die rolls on attacks throughout the game, what lost it for intercession was getting completely outplayed on objectives tp2. They grab even one more VP on tp2 and theyre in the game TP4 as long as they dont throw their leader at you for a free headhunter.
Of course, they also paid for bringing the scope on the gunner rather than the auspex. Then again, mistakes are part of what make these batreps fun.
I am clearly misunderstanding the obscuring rules for the Bheta Decima terrain - shouldn’t the water areas have provided obscuring on the shots across the length of the board?
the water obscuring things is just for 'floor' based operatives - 'When determining Line of Sight from an active operative on the killzone floor to a target operative on the killzone floor, the target operative is Obscured if a Cover line drawn to it crosses horizontally over 2 of a hazardous area' - hope that helps
I'm thought Wrath of Vengeance couldn't go off on the Gunner bcause he already had his two Shoot Actions?

@@GFNGaming cheers, I just realised I posted a criticism and hit send without saying how much I do enjoy your stuff. That just felt rude to me, but it's early and I haven't had enough coffee yet. :-)
Also, not that it made any difference to TP4, but the AI Sergeant has a BS of 3+ with his Plasma Pistol, so he'd have hit on 4s with Injured.
I was expecting the Assault Intercessor Sgt to go down into the enemy DZ and put that Plasma Pistol shot into the Acolyte on TP4, honestly.
I see people doing bat reps without the included objective markers for Bheta Decima, but I've not seen a real answer as to why people are not using them.
Where I play we use How to Roll a Crits layouts to place the scatter terrain but we use the objective terrain instead of flat objective markers.
We find the extra light cover helps, without it the layouts are just far to open or open to abuse from ignore obscuring.
What is your reason for going with objective templates over objective terrain?

@@marcdgesNo worries man, Which marks are you thinking about? Most people seems to split between Tzetnch and Slaan or Nurgle/Khorne - depends on your local scene really - main plus for Nurgle implacable so never injured and full bs overwatch and reduced damage is nice, plus you can aura someone with an AP2 weapon so they dont get to roll any defence dice which is a great move - or main plus for tzentch 4++ for all operatives, but the main move is the mutability and change so you can 4APL an operative - ITD do this will balefire and he can move dash open door then fireblast for an alpha strike or just in open play generally annoy but looting, move dashing and shooting or loot, charge fight shoot etc

Super helpful thanks. My team is kinda death guardy, I have some OG legionaries who refused to have mouths on their belly. I guess they like to take care of their skin ? Slaneesh ? They’re so lost, i’ll go undivided 😂
7:30 Didn't have to CP reroll you had a crit save. Would have turned the failed into a save for the Shrive Talon
No the shrive wasn't tzeentch he was slaanesh 😩
Anointed starts at 12hp not 13. And rapid doesn't apply to charges. its just normal moves @20:10
The self buff on the Balefire only affects weapons he has not spells. So it doesn't get lethal 5. Also both are a spell cast and without the equipment that lets him double cast. not that it affected that roll. @22:00
