Quick tip for deodorizing drawers and cabinets. Use a coffee filter and put 1/4c baking soda in the center, and tie off with a string or rubber band. The filter will keep it from sifting out, but can breath and allow the deodorizing to happen! For non-food areas, you can add a drop or two of easential oil for a littlw scent :)
We've learned over the years to buy smaller quantities to be less wasteful when it's time to toss something. Any advice on getting the built-up grease off of the kitchen cabinets in our rental home? I'm guessing the previous tenants rarely cleaned them (builder grade wood with laminate trim) and no matter what I've tried I can't remove that sticky residue. 🤮😭😭😭 Thanks in advance. Love your channel!
Dawn and a gentle scrubbing pad. Wet the scrubber add a drop of Dawn then rub it on the entire surface. Wait about 10 mins, check if it's working, if not apply again and try to keep it damp. I use a dry rag to wipe clean when the grease is lifted but you may need a bit of elbow grease.
I don’t like Magic Erasers. I actually cleaned my cabinet and cleaned my silverware with vinegar. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the info about how to do it.
I clean my spice drawer probably twice a year because I don't have enough jars and I buy spices in packets that shower everything in a fine layer of spice.
I label my spice jars with the expiration date and are pretty good with that. My oldest spice is cashmiri chili powder which expired in 2017. I still use it since now it's lost quite a bit of heat. In general I don't like ground spices or blends. I have the essentials and can grind and mix accordingly. That way the aroma is more intense
Not the dry mustard! 😂It's so versatile. It took me a few years to catch on to its potential. Our spices are stored on a carousel. But, yeah, it has been a minute since that shelf was cleared out and cleaned.
How would you deal with really caked on built up grease on fake wood cabinet doors? I've tried Murphys, steam, vinegar & dish soap, but nothing has worked so far.
When was the last time you cleaned out your spice drawer?

I don't have spices. Salt is all I have so it stays with the can good. Thanks for this video. I was hoping you would do it soon. Thanks for your time
I just bought a spice holder and organized...but I did keep some pretty old spices. 🤭 Hey!!!, no cameo appearance of the taco kit??? 😂💜

Just cleaned out my dad's spice cupboard. Use Before 97. 1997.
🤣😂

In your initial outside wipe down(after spraying on cleaner), is your microfiber cloth dry or damp? Thank you?
Generally dry, unless it's been rinsed it out because I've been cleaning for an extended period of time. :)
I just bought your microfiber cloths and really like them!
I know this is totally off-topic, but you should do a routine on your hair. It's always so 😍
What about how to clean the cupboard tops?? That's a hard job.

Do you need to wipe them down again a second time using only water? Won't the soap mixture leave a residue even after wiping them down? Thanks!
I just cleaned mine a few months ago but I don’t throw them away after 6 months either
We just moved so I cleaned my spices at that time. I had some spices that the expiration date was 4 years ago.
I find the corners are impossible to reach even with toothbrush. How do you clean those pesky corners grooves on the outside of your cabinet pls?
Thank you have to do this.

Have you tried an enzyme cleaner, something like Bac-Out?
I label the expiration date on all condiments, herbs, canned goods, vitamins, etc. the day I buy them and put them away in the cabinet by date.
Evidently Cream of Tartar doesn’t go bad. I have some that’s at least 2 generations old.
Melissa, is your hair darker?
Magic Eraser lesson learned the hard way here 😞😞
