It's a Midwestern farmer-thing. With multiple generations at close quarters on the same farm it eliminates confusion. It's also Dougo's farm-nickname, I doubt Chet would ever call him "Douglas".

There could have been someone off camera assisting you with that bearing, but I think not, and oh sure you were raised in that environment, but never the less I was impressed. That was one of the most enjoyable videos I have watched from a farmer. Chets was really good about controlling his temper and kept his mood up. I might have been throwing things I would have been so frustrated.
When checking wheel bearings a person can place their hand on the spindle or near it and you will feel if the bearings are in bad shape. Sometimes they won’t actually be (loose). The same principle works with every bearing. I do appreciate all your awesome videos!

It's absolutely incredible how hard farming is on equipment. Even with all the maintenance and how hardy it's build, breakdowns are unavoidable. It's amazing how positive you guys can be dealing with everything. My hats off to you!

Hiya to you both. Chet if you fit a lamp on top pointing down it will light up the whole tank showing the level all the time rather from the side. Nikki when you hit Oct/Nov 2021 & harvest please run some frames backward of the combine harvester cutting corn so that the tall plants appear out of the combine head, instead of disapearing in... Stay safe...Steve...

Chet I also had this issue so i drilled the hub and installed grease fittings on non greasable spindles help alot.
