- On this flight I was lucky enough to have the best seat in the house which is perfect for hearing the RB211 engines (and unfortunately the life story of the people behind me aswell).
I really enjoyed this flight and made the most of it as it will probably be my last flight on a 757 as TUI are retiring it within the next couple of years.

Airline - TUI Airways
Date filmed - 17 July 2018

Everything 😩
The women stopped their chatter for all of five seconds when the rockets kicked in.
Then they carried on.
Non-Stop.

@@Tomav1ationHD ZZZZzzzzzz........
That climbrate is just Amazing.Love the 757
same here defo one of the best aircraft in the skies.
Just incredible! This is definitely the best 757 departure from skiathos on youtube! :)
wow, thank you so much I'm glad you like it!
Really enjoyed your video Tom..I nearly switched off listening to the people constantly chatting behind you,but hung in there, and glad I did..it was a good experience
Thank you! It was incredibly annoying with the people talking but the engines sure shut them up!
great video
Great video
David Carter thanks!
I think that was my aunty behind you
Really nice viewing! Will be sad to see these 757s go come October
its so sad to see but we need to remember how lucky we've been as these were originally going to leave 2/3 years ago when the maxs got grounded
Great video Tom....adore flying on holiday...this gave me a real fix before my holiday this year. What did you think of Skiathos? One on my "must go" list...especially for changeover day at the airport viewing point lol! Your fellow passenger nearby must talk in her sleep!!!
Hi mark! Skiathos is a brilliant place to go, infact this was my second time visiting after a brilliant holiday here before. Its really chilled out and is one of the best places to go in Greece!
Just after 14:45 you can hear the wind noise picking up with the acceleration.
I went on CPEV recently ;)
It was a lovely plane to fly on
Love that sound but I'm surprised they still use them, it's a very old plane now. My holidays just been switched to this from the dreamliner due to lower bookings so not over happy but there you go. Good video cheers
@@757Superfan old enough and loads of inefficient aircraft have sadly gone because of the pandemic
@@Mikeyp1054 They’re gone now :(
How long was the flight?
just over 3 hours because of circling around Gatwick.
I have a model of G-CPEV!
Great video apart from the the ones with more rattle than a bag of marbles lol, why do 757s make that noise with their engines when taking off, is it the make of the engine, looks a lovely island must try it sometime.👍👍
ahah, these 757s use the famous Rolls Royce RB211 engines which make the lovely sound. Unfortunately with modern engines quickly taking over from these we are now used to the quiet efficient engines :(
Thank you for telling me, I always wondered what engines they were, were flying to Fuerteventura In October with TUI so no doubt will be on a 757, it will put the husbands mind at rest now lol, thanks once again.👍👍
Jobyjo Marshy no problem at all! Glad to be of help!
I’m going to Rhodes and guess what it’s the 757 ;) They are my favourite aircraft
The "buzzsaw" sound is from the tips of the fan blades going at supersonic speeds.
Go to the U.S and there are plenty of opportunities to fly the 757-200 and the 757-300
Too much chat , will they ever shut the hell up
