Keep it up! I feel you on the kids at events , kids are all over place touching equipment and also always around , last event I did , I had like 10 kids on stage jumping with swords lol. For dance floor lighting, all you need is a Chauvet wash fx 2 and it’ll cover a large amount of dance floor. 🤙🏻

I have a 50th birthday coming up as well, I think by the time I arrive, the guests will be already eating, because the client has the hall from 5pm to 11pm, and they asked me to start at 8pm, but I'll be checking with the venue anyways, because I want to know where I'm setting up and how far I'm from the power plugs 😅
Hmm that’s interesting I guess they were trying to save money lol but at least you can play more good music instead of filling in the other hours with dinner/background music & yea I’m always nervous as to where my setup will be when I don’t know a place lol
These are 60 year old folks and they have no idea what a Lil Uzi vert is and they mainly grew up to disco 80s funk . You need to play what’s appropriate for type of crowd.
Was told directly from the client that it was time to play Just Wanna Rock, I even asked twice are you sure, and half the crowd was late 20s so just like any good dj would, you have to mix it up throughout the night
Yea I agree I didn’t utilize the tube lights the best way at this event & I’d love to use moving headlights but then I’d have to buy towers and it would be a big investment when I usually don’t do too many big events like that & it is a Phenyx pro microphone
