you made exceptionally clear, straight to the point informative video. I noticed that your last video was uploaded 3 years ago. Hope you will continue uploading in the near future
Hey! :) A day or two ago I was wondering what'd happened to you. I hadn't been notified you'd published a video for awhile. It's good to see you're still at it, and I hope you are doing well. Also, I'm sorry to say, I've yet to try duplicating your awesome successes. Thx! :) And pls keep 'em coming. ;)
Nice video, good to see an upload- you should do basic videos on your current setups and explain the equipment and dosing regimes etc like green aqua are doing
Are you going to do on how to grow bucephalandra? I really need.. I mean many would want it ahhaha nice video tho.. your how to grow plant sessions are very resourceful!!!
Hey Dennis very nice video. I just got some erio Quinn and one of them I think Is shooting up a flower . I read this is not common. What should I do with the flower? I think this may signify the death of the main plant? If I cut it will it delay that effect?
Thank you for giving a very good explanation. I want to ask you. I have a case where Eriocaulon Quinquangulare has 90% melted. Can it be saved? if it can be saved, how can you save it?
Got a question on Eriocaulon vietnam: Is it ok to trim it like grass? My plants grow and get super densly packed, old ugly leaves mixed with new ones, it looks like a mess, in the end I have to uproot everything and replant from the beginning which makes a big mess too. What if I just trim everything short, will I get all new green leaves or will it kill the plant?
Hi Dennis, I wanna know, coz I saw you using seriyu stone in some of your plant tank. just wondering if it really affect the GH and KH? does it have any impact on your plant? because I am thinking to use dragon stone or seriyu stone. I really like the color of seriyu stone in aquarscape tank. but I am just worry about the GH and KH which I saw someone mention on the internet! could you explain ...thanks a lot. by the way, I really love your video, it is very imformative.
Hi, Seiryu stone does raise GH/KH. So its not suitable for very softwater plants (syngonanthus, red erios, blood vomit), most other plants will be fine
Great video man Ill have to try out red erio now that I know how to properly take care of it near the end beside your purple buce theirs a large purple plant was wondering what it is?
I love erio's, my water is very hard, but I'm still having good success with eriocaulon vietnam, but maybe one day I can have a soft water tank with some blood vomit and red erio.
@@2hrAquarist on a brand new tank where they were JUST planted with ADA Amazonia v2 + power sand advanced.. for these (centrolepis drummondiana, Eriocaulon Quinquangulare, Xyris sp red) would you use APT EI or Zero..? Seller told me she was using EI and to use that..
Thanks for all the usefull information Dennis! I experienced that in my tank crimson king always tends to develop translucend outer leaves. It seems that the plant can only manage to maintain 6 to 9 healthy leaves and rejects the older ones. I use soil, EI, iron/traces, high amounts of co2, high lighting and 2/3 weekly wc... Any suggestions?
Thanks for sharing! I have always struggled with this plant. Love the osmocote tip! That tank is 🔥

Thanks for sharing! I like eriocaulons, and especially like using them on elevated portions of the substrate.
Nice video, good to see an upload- you should do basic videos on your current setups and explain the equipment and dosing regimes etc like green aqua are doing

You are a master! Beautiful tank.how do you combat black beard algea?

Hi, that's an Echinodorus 'purple knight' / 'aflame'
How many watts required for blood vomit?
How bucephlarandra and eriocaoulon grow in the same tank? They need diffrent conditions.
May I know the plants list in your tank? Love the awesome tank.
check this reddit link i.redd.it/gfef3lqytuk11.jpg
Dennis.. I've recently bought lily pipes.. The inlet is very short.. How deep should your inlet be from the substrate....?
I don't think its an issue; having a shorter inlet allows one to have higher rear slopes (if your inlet is at the rear)
where do i buy this plant ffs ive been looking for days...
What’s difficult is finding where to buy the darn thing. Anyone have any idea?
just wow
I love erio's, my water is very hard, but I'm still having good success with eriocaulon vietnam, but maybe one day I can have a soft water tank with some blood vomit and red erio.
dennis, what is the best method softening tap water? do u treat your water yourself to obtain 3dkh?
My tap water is very soft (1-2dKH) and I don't add any buffers. If your water is very hard you can use Reverse osmosis (RO) water instead
Dennis Wong, thanks for the response..your channel is one of my favorite...
Hi Dennis what fertz do you use
Custom mixes from Dry powder; I'm selling the mix I use on my website soon
Ada soil?
Bro this types of ericaulon are available in market?
yes
Damn, check out that tank!
"Blood vomit" such a great name for brutal death/grindcore band. :)
Cool!!!
nice red tank
Where can I get this in SG? I haven’t seen them in all my LFS
I sell it, LFS occasionally carry stock as well
where can i get this cool plant?
Depends which country you are in; checking with hobbyist collectors may yield better results as they are not all that common
I'm from Singapore. maybe you can advice me. Thanks
You can buy them from me at 4 for 50, either species... drop me an email if you want to collect
Welcome e back, you r the best, you have instagram?
I have an account that is not updated, I probably should
Dennis Wong yes instagram is the place to be. Now a days. Go to if you uploaded video. Just like all the other youtubbers..
Would a KH of 4 be detrimental or bad for blood vomit? Would it kill it?
quite likely yes, its a bit high for blood vomit
@@2hrAquarist would 8-10 hours only in it be enough to kill it? 🥹
@@_mattaeus_ I think it should be fine

@@_mattaeus_ You don't need EI to grow any plant. I grow these in APT Complete; fresh soil is good, but after soil depletes over time, root tabs help
anyone know where to get eriocaulon in singapore?
it propagates exactly like blyxa japonica
You a cheater? ))))) Great tank maan! Proff looking healthy plants!
Wow
Those arecryptocoryne flamingo?
Yes

It should not be doing that... maybe too much flux/unstable water parameters
@@2hrAquarist
Thanks for your answer. Btw i use Tropica soil. Could it be to less ammonia/nitrate compared to ADA soil?
@@accept_everything_ It does have less ammonia compared to ADA - but that should not be a factor. Have you tested your KH
@@2hrAquarist
3-4 degrees, is that to high?
I use RO mixed with a little amount of tap water. Therefore i could lower it more if needed.
@@accept_everything_ I think 2 to 3 is better, could try that if it doesn't hurt, for a couple of weeks
These plants are so expensive right now, even on eBay. You should start selling this yourself.
I do locally haa...
kh of 3?
:C
🏅😍🙋♂️
is that pink panther crypto?
they call it crypt flamingo ~
