Make sure to reinforce the very top of your tent where the pole sits with half a tennis ball. I forgot mine this weekend and in high winds the pole pierced straight through the tent wall. Luckily I was in when it happened as the wood stove was on full heat. Managed to fix it with the peak of my baseball hat . Scary stuff🙈
Great idea on the chair steadies, I'm going to try the same with two different diameter pipes and try and get them to fit inside each other. What is the table you used? Is it adjustable and lightweight, I'd like to know. Thanks for a great video, stay safe, all the best Mally.
Hi Buddy... Question for you! The inner Tent is from Hexpeak V4 Inner Tent? I have the same style tent and the inner part is a great addition to my tent can't believe I didn't think of that. Great Job buddy!!!
Le inner de Luxe fais je crois 230cm en longueur. Ils ont plusieurs modeles sur leur site. Sinon la smokey hut de one tigris dois faire dans les 3m x 3m. Un petit truc pour eviter une trop grosse tension quand tu monte le baton c'est de positioner une demi-balle de tennis a l'extremite haute entre le baton et la toile de tente.

I wasnt aware you could use another make inner tent in the Smokey hut so thats good info.I had my concerns of the practicalities of keeping the bugs at bay especially the dreaded midges . A few questions Is the stove jack you are using a One Tigress one? Did you order to inner tent from the US if so was the shipping cost/ customs duty ( if applicable) o.k.? i'm taking it there isnt a Luxe UK stockist? Looking forward to seeing more of the set up in the wild , thanks for sharing.
Hi Tony, The stove jack is hand made from a silicon baking sheet! I did ship from the US so it was about £40 extra, but there is a UK stockist backpackinglight.co.uk but at the time the didn’t have any of these!
Just wondering, does your cot hit the pole and side of the tent when you are using it on the smokey hut or does it have plenty of room? I like the mod you did on your chair, I might do that one myself. Atb Glenn
Works brilliantly! Fits perfectly although I’ve now added a mod to strengthen the attachment with some standard webbing at the point in the top of the tent as mine ripped out under tension, after the mod it now works a treat!

I've used the 1.5 person Luxe inner with a 2 person Seek Outside Silvertip tipi but haven't tried it with my Smokey hut yet.
There is a company in the UK that sells Luxe inners and tents called backpacking light
