Had one of these for a while now...very versatile tent. I use mine with a cheap inner mozzy net (£10 Ali Ex) To pitch it really quickly, just peg out a square (every other loop) and you'll get a nicely set tent quickly. I had to reinforce the apex by inserting a leather patch into the 2 layers (no sewing needed)
Excellent. These tents don’t seem to be available these days. I’ve seen people use halved tennis balls to help spread the pressure of the pole on apex. I got a similar tent for £60 and the pole came with a hard sponge ball that goes on end of pole at the apex.
If you use the inner tabs to peg it down (instead of the outer tabs) it leaves a flap on the outside to cover with snow or debris to seal the tent.
I'll try that next time, thanks . I did peg out with the shock cord last time then try pegging down the tabs to stop the wind blowing through.
That's some amount of carnage on the track with all the landslides...the power of nature right there
Aye , it’s some state. Lots of clearance work to be carried out unfortunately., tame and resources allowing.
@@cowalexplorer will take a while mate

Shame they are not now available...my go to tent conditions allowing. A lot of space for very little pack size and weight@@cowalexplorer
