They gave the position to a ✋🏻person only there 2-3 mo w/out the experience to my yrs. After all the prepping they did to get her to settled in, she abandoned the position before she could start (got cold feet) and stayed w/ her old title.

    I strongly concur with your message! In addition to fighting for this country, we are also taking care of our homes, with little or no support, and that does not even include helping to raise children, grandchildren and ALL the other roles we play in our lifetime. I am a 76 years old black woman who, WITH God’s help, has SINGLE HANDEDLY raised 2 sons without child or emotional support from their dad while on a teacher’s salary. I have helped raise 7 grandchildren, all of whom have lived with me at different times. I taught them Christianity, the Bible, and helped one through undergrad and grad school. I clean my house with little or no spouse support. I make major decisions on things that need to be done around my house. And now, I am Tired, and I am spent! I must do Self Care at this point!

I'm not saying this to get a cookie, but I want to challenge other White women who might be reading this to stick up for Black people who are getting crap for drawing a line. Call out White women thinking a blue bracelet means anything but a way to identify someone who is not trustworthy. Not that I think we have done anything to earn trust. I had to overcome bullying, racism and harassment to move laterally into a position requiring less physical labor at the same pay grade. I regularly had to clean up after a woman that didn't feel the need to mention she was on meds until after she tried to make me look bad and failed miserably. I had to do the jobs of multiple people alone because others at my level would either flake and not show up or whine about where they were assigned until middle management got tired of hearing them and sent them somewhere else. I had to deal with people regularly insulting my intelligence and trying to get me in trouble for the mistakes of others after I pointed out those issues so they could be resolved. I had to quit that job, or I would have been harassed and overworked to death.

      No one "told" anyone. However, in the struggle to get basic rights as Black people we included others to benefit from what ever rights were gained. After doing that for over a hundred years (standing up in the fight for women to vote, standing up for equal pay, for outlawing workplace discrimination, etc.), 71 million people turned their backs on all of those gains and the Constitution and voted for a lying, cheating, immoral, unethical, degenerate who will do whatever he wants to benefit himself and his wealthy cronies.

They think opportunity is like pie, and they are grabbing for what they think was my slice. This is the second video that popped up in my feed today, and I may not be welcomed, however I’m trying to understand. I am a 65 year old white woman, have been a Democrat my whole voting life. I loved Obama (still do), love Kamala, and was hoping this would be a new path forward. Since 2016, I have been sick, I have known who he is from the beginning, and never voted for him. Since 2016, I have gotten involved, started working elections, working on educating those around me, and donating. This has been a gut punch, like I lost a family member, have felt like throwing up, screaming, crying. I knew it would be close, however it was devastating to find out there were more, that would elect that disgusting human being. My only solace, was knowing I was not alone, however today, I found out how black women view the white women. Believe me , I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face from everyone that voted for him. I could never fully understand all that you have endured, and I’m sure the fear you feel is a hundred fold , to mine, for that I am truly sorry. I’m sorry that we have let you down. For those of us that believe in democracy, equality and inclusion, what do we need to do? Or will we just always be lumped in with the rest? Thank you for listening and hopefully answering.

These system controllers play mind games with people so they can suck our energy and use it for their means. Personally, I've had enough of it. My Mother (may she rest in peace) is an example of what Black women should be - laser focused on the well-being of people in our community, and using our resources, financial and otherwise, ONLY for our communities. Start from the center, move outwards - let's live according to that principle.

    I taught in South Korea off and on since 2013, including having and raising my six year old son in the meantime. I worked in several different kinds of schools, honing my skill and when I found out that my son was autistic, I was able to use my skills to get a great job in the US at a bilingual school. After two years of juggling doctor's appointments, creating an ESL hybrid course from scratch and dealing with a partner in autistic burnout, I was let go, along with my entire English department. It wasn't personal*, but it also proved to me in March that this country will never value me the way I've always valued myself. A decade overseas just made me forget.
    This election result was devastating to me in a way I was not prepared for. I avoided the news in the morning through getting my son on the bus and it was only accidentally that I saw a news headline on the subway~ and I immediately burst into tears. Then I was mad at myself for being so surprised.

    I am not black. This is what I see about bw. The civil rights movement in the US was borne mostly on the backs of bw. If we consider the fissures between the King and X camps, the major opposition was who should be on the front lines. King thought that it would be a more sympathetic sight to see women and children being hit with water cannons rather than men, and so he encouraged them to put themselves into harm's way. X was opposed to this and only wanted the men to be on the front lines. We all know that King's methods were more used and bw were the main ones to pay the price. But did they benefit? I was there (as a child) and I can tell you that they did not benefit. Rather, the new laws benefited people with lighter skin who were not considered yt and had been excluded from yt society: Poles, Irish, Scottish, Slavs. There was so much backlash against Kennedy for presidential nominee because the party didn't know if anyone would vote for an Irish. We're talking about someone born in the US, pale skin, and born into wealth. But today, pretty much everyone who has fair skin is accepted as yt. That is all due to the civil rights movement. Therefore i think it is safe to say that yt people who were non- Anglo Saxon benefited from the movement much more than bw. So I agree and support all bw who decide to sit it out. Let others solve their own problems.

      I explain in the video. Many of us show up on our jobs way over qualified and get left behind, overlooked, in favor of a less qualified somebody who gets ahead. Typically, it's someone's white. This is a generations old scenario that many of us recognize in her situation. She couldn't be more qualified. In addition, we showed up at 92% because we understand the political and social ramifications of that man's presidency. It is not designed to benefit us or our communities. W women voted for him at nearly 70%. They voted race over gender so they showed their real allegiance. Go ask them why they did that to the detriment of other women.

      They are mad kamala didn't win. what's crazy is blk women don't see kamala as a leech to blk women. I knew whites would not vote for her. Her mother more than likely told her to join the aka to get ahead. Immigrants listen to us & copy our story for benefits. We've always been used. Obama won with swag & ppl said not again. He sealed the trump win. The hate crimes escalated under Obama, who said nothing. Renisha Mcbride, trayvon, Mike,Tamir rice, Sandra, philando .. kamala had a blk woman jailed for truancy of a real blk girl with sickle cell. Blk women can be hateful of fellow blk women as well. Tired but don't stemroll one another.

      @@DarniseMartin, I understand the points you made in the video. Yes, Black women often get looked over on their jobs. It's their system. Until we build, control, and own industries, we will continue depending on their system. It will take generations, so we need to start now. Black men and Black women must focus on building our community. Black women have been told to go against Black men and vice versa. Where has it gotten us? Being united protects us from whoever is in office. Collectively, White people prioritize wealth, power, and control. They will ally with their men and continue building together, creating generational wealth. I don't understand why Black women thought otherwise. The Democratic Party should have been more responsive to the needs of the people and chose a stronger candidate.

    Sorry guys, but one thing - Kamala Harris is not a Black woman. Politics aside, she was playing us too, using the "cloak of Blackness" so we felt compelled to tie ourselves to her cause, then she could extract our energy. She is of Jewish, Irish, and Hindu descent. Her mother is an Iyer Brahmin caste woman from Southern India. Brahmins are not invested in raising "strong Black women". We HAVE to get over this false notion of her being Black - sorry.

    • @DarniseMartin
      @DarniseMartin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @kathym8453 are you going to deny her father then?? America has a thing called the one drop rule, a little bit black = black! Also, we do not need to be in the business of policing racial purity. Guess who does that -- White supremacists! Apartheid, nazis, those people. Why would we engage in that when most black people in the "new world" are mixed to one degree or another. Who is pure? She's black. White Americans made that rule a long time ago.

      We've always had folks in our community with 1 black parent, and we call them black. America's 1 drop rule means just that, 1 drop, and you're black. It doesn't ever benefit us to do racial purity tests. That's a nazi game. We're all mixed in America anyway.

    These videos from all these bitter black women are really ridiculous. These women are late to the party already. If you thought your actions were about saving America, you should have realized that the most important actions you can take start at home with your own family, your partnership, your children. When you and your family go out into the world and do well and live well, that’s your most important contribution. The rest is icing on the cake.
    America is not going to miss your participation, so get over it! If you deserve more, then go get it or make it for yourself! And please stop flagellating yourselves over this election, or at least do it in private! This is unbecoming.
