@@appletreesurfboards You clearly don't live in Scotland! The sun here doesn't get that hot very often 😂... I use a heat gun to remove decals and stickers from cars so it must work the same on a surf board. I would exercise extreme caution! I have a sup surf board with a peeling deck pad..
@@natkingcol909 hahaha. no, but Holland is not much better... though it's good weather and sunny today. In general EPS foam can withstand temps of up to 70 deg C. be carefull over that.
Genius! Thanks Wieger
The tree of knowledge bears fruit once more!
Broomstick?! 🧹 never thought about that!
Yeah! Great advice… 🤙🏾🤩
Use citrus bike chain degreaser.. that removes all the glue. Best thing for removing an old deckpad.
last time it took me apx 2 days to get it off
Sometimes you can indeed be unlucky and they are super stuck.
Ive a v1..the pad is paper thin..no comfort at all.
Would heating it up with a heat gun first help or could that damage the board?
A heat gun can get really hot, which helps, but is risky. usually putting it in the sun gets it plenty hot
