I recommend continuing the Green Bone Saga! I didn’t love the first book and was gonna DNF it and felt confused but they got better as they went along. The third book was my favourite and had me sobbing. The audiobooks are also great.
I realized that I don't really do series, and if I do, they're usually older ones and readily available on Libby. I think I just get bored, so I much prefer stand alone books.
I am with you on romantasy, I think what we like is Fantasy with a tiny bit of romance - if you find good ones please make a separate video. I devoured Crescent City 1 because of the friendship between Danika and Bryce (cried my eyes out), I am so sad about your prediction related to book 2 and 3 :( but will continue.
My favorite series recently is The Arthurian Tales (Lancelot, Camelot and Arthur which just came out this year) by Giles Kristian who is a British author. He’s a wonderful writer. Not sure libraries here would have these books but Amazon and Blackwells (free shipping from the UK) has them. Just finished The City of Mirrors and really liked it! The Passage is my favorite with The Twelve coming in third. I haven’t tried The Greenbone Saga but have seen it gets “better” in the second and third books. 🤷🏻♀️You said you’d like to get more into sci fi, have you read Project Hail Mary? Not a series but it was my favorite book of the year I read it.
Daughter of No Worlds is very slow burn and not too spicy, definitely more fantasy forward. I haven’t read the rest of the series yet but I think you would enjoy the first book at least. I will be participating in Becca’s catch up bookclub this time too! Hopefully I can keep up🤞
I’m the same as you. I like romantasy, but not in your face spice. I do recommend One Dark Window. It fits what you are looking for as far as spice level goes. I highly recommend The Infernal Devices. It is Cassandra Clare’s best series imo. It is the only trilogy by her that I will reread.
I love Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series. Also...off subject... I love your calendar on the wall! Can you tell me where I might get one. Have a great day and thank you. 🌲
Hi, I got it on Amazon like 6 years ago ... it's no longer available on there, but I've linked it anyway so you can have the name in case you want to search somewhere else! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S2XPQ9C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Lovelight Farms are spicy! 🌲 Did I miss the spreadsheet tutorial link? Would love to add a progress bar, etc to my spreadsheet. But I didnt see it. Thanks!
I started The Gilded One it is YA the romance is secondary. My daughter and I loved it and ran out and got the next book right away. Than a duology that I started and loved is A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross. I think it was my favorite read for 2024. Great slow burn romancy enemy to lover would say 2 spice 5 star read.
You are missing a series that definitely belongs at the top of any list and that is the Emily Wilde series. First 2 in the series are currently out and are soooo amazing.
@bookmama26 cozy label is a bit misleading for this series. Hard to explain but imo this doesn't exactly fit in any specific genre. Real good blend of light fantasy, light romance, mystery, and cozy. Best way I can describe it is quirky fantasy mystery with a whisper of romance.
Let me spare you: I'd say you may as well dnf _Empire of the Vampire_ now as it is pretty much unreadable anyway. Don't believe me? Check out the author's own review of the book on goodreads. It's 90% gifs. Red flag!
This is so smart! So many series, so little time😅 I read a couple chapters of The Lies of Locke Lamora, and it didn’t grab me… the setting is kind of fantasy-Dickensian, but the writing is much more modern. I unhauled it because I wasn’t in the mood for it. But this summer I found myself getting the new edition, so I guess I still want to read it sometime😂 🪙Mistborn is so hit/miss for readers, so it’s hard to know. I loved the magic system, but I never got completely sucked into the adventure or invested in the characters. I love Google Sheets too! I never considered tracking my reading there, but it looks like a fun setup!

Thank you, I think I will keep it on my TBR based on what you all have said :)
Always look forward to the reccomendations.
Read The Diviners series!! This is the best time of year to start it. Also highly highly recommend the audio. It’s a full cast and so well done!
Excited to pick it up!
I personally thoroughly enjoyed a discovery of witches. The whole trilogy is good. Start it asap
I can talk this weekend about series 🎄

Glad I'm not the only one! I just filmed a video with my "Romantasy with mild spice" TBR after lots of research!!
What the Library Hides [book 2 in the egypt mystery series] is out now. I have it on hold at the library 😀
I’m so excited to get to it! It’s going to be our January buddy read in my reading challenge 😊
🎄🎀✨I love the spreadsheet!
Thank you!
Books are always exciting :) 🎄
Always :)

I have like 70 pages left in The Twelve!!
@@bookmama26 oh good! Hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you! Infernal Devices is the next on my list for Cassandra Clare :)

Someone else just mentioned the fact that Lovelight Farms was spicy - I’m so sad!! I just updated the description box with the link 😊
One Dark Window has no spice if I am remembering correctly
Thank you!

I just looked up The Gilded One - it looks like something I would love!

I keep going back and forth about that book - I don't always love cozy, like I DNF'd Legends and Lattes! So I just wasn't sure about Emily Wilde!

I had to stop lovelight farms because it was sooo spicy
Oh NOOO! The covers make them looks so cute 🤦🏼♀️. Thanks for the heads up!
🎄😃
Jasad Heir. More fantasy with romance subplot
Thank you - just put it on my list!
🎄🎅🤶
Hi! I have to watch your less spicy romantasy video but you may enjoy Grace Draven, a few intimate scenes but nothing over the top.
I’ve heard good things about Grace Draven!
❤📚🎄❤

Setting up a tracker is really fun!
