    You heated that with mapp? How long did that take? lol
    Nice work, direct steering is a lot harder to set up properly than people think. Especially on a riding mower.

      Yup. Only a few minutes, just enough to soften it so that I could bend it without tearing the bench off the wall.

      Does your Jeep have a hitch? Ome of my ideas was to put one on my truck and just take it off when I dont need it.

      Doug Fackler yeah, 2". I think they sell those in quadratec though. Sure you could build one for cheaper though

    hi' i did the direct steering on my mud mower and I only have 1 tie rod setup like yours, but mine is really touchy, is that normal, it also wants2 to pull 2 the left 2

      Direct steering is extremely touchy as it's 1:1 steering. Really only good for flat driving on hard surfaces.
      Steering pulling in one direction is an alignment or adjustment issue

    Send me some of that square tubing! Doug?? :D - Nice video, how many drillbits did you end up using?

    • @KeystoneMotorsports
      @KeystoneMotorsports  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      One for the smaller holes and one for the bigger hole. The air tool oil really helped with cutting. I was using dull bits and ended up getting pigtails.

      Glad it helped. Sprockets Garage helped me out on it by answering some questions I had.

    If only I could Weld, then I'd do the same thing.

    That square tubing it about the same price for 20ft at a steelyard.

      Yeah, at the time I had only lived in the area for a few months so didnt have a clue where to get steel. I get it from a fab shop now.

      Keystone Motorsports I started welding over a year ago and started going to a local steelyard. I love the price difference and the guy at the counter helped me get an 8" I-beam cut down for free.
