It’s crazy that you can feel Arthur knows something is strange is going on he looks at the kid with the same birthmark and the wall and nopes out of the situation
This is how clever Rockstar is, Sinclair is the ancient Scottish name for St Clair of France, the Earl of Orkney, Scotland Henry Sinclair was a Templar Night and Scots Noble who travelled to America a hundred years before Christopher Columbus. Frances Sinclair is a nod to Scotland where GTA was invented and the fact that Henry Sinclair also was believed to have left stone markings in areas around Massachusetts and Maine.
@@FilbeeGaming Just on a side note Phil, The Sinclairs also built Rosslyn Chapel outside the small village of Temple near Edinburgh. Rosslyn Chapel which I visited 6 or 7 times in my life is full of masons sculptures of symbols of America that were sculpted before folk in Europe even knew they existed. Things like Maize or what we’d call cobs of corn 🌽 only found in America. Proving they were there before Columbus but after the Vikings. Remember that the Norse Vikings lived with the Scots for a long time and the Knights Templar were all Vikings originally so there secrets of navigation followed them as they did Columbus who was a “Knight of Christ” in Portugal one of only two countries including Scotland who helped the Templars when the Pope wanted them dead.
The real mystery is why this time traveler needed someone to send over pictures of rock reliefs. I can't imagine how that would power his time machine or whatever he uses to time travel.
Why one earth one needs to have more than one play through of any game, however great it is? There are so many games and worlds to explore unless one is broke so he can’t afford another game
If the lightning strike is the same place I think it is, I believe the burnt trees can be viewed from a certain perspective to read 10:04. An Easter egg call back to time travel; as the Delorean Time Machine from BTTF was struck by lightning at 10:04pm. I wonder what happens if you stood in the center at that exact time at night?🤔
Maybe Francis used the same method to time travel, it would explain why he left in a hurry, and why the body was still fresh from the blast. Especially since you aren't supposed to go to New Austin as Arthur, I think its an interesting theory
Wow! It just clicked with me.... The "baby" was only a doll. So, I wonder if thay guy is still around somewhere. Like he staged all of that to begin that cult/religion ( If it was staged, then there's all the witnesses to say it's true. The carvings, the soul person (Arthur) gathering all the markings, (the epsilon program), the "mother" with the doll - staged as his mother. (So I'm assuming that lady was wife - or something along those lines.) Mind blowing... I have never come to that conclusion until now. It all makes sense. 🤯
I’m not sure what happened, but something that crossed my mind was if he needed to get to a portal to return to his time he might literally be traveling to there. The reason he was in such a rush was because he knew his mom and his baby self would be returning soon and he needed to avoid that for time-traveler reasons of some sort
Ok so, he knows about the atomic era and the chrysler building, that alone is prove that he is a time traveler. The main problem here imo is the doll. Why do you need to fool Arthur? The mother is part of it for sure, she knows it’s a doll. Also she acts strangely calm for some defenseles woman holding a baby that finds a random armed man in your house. So why do she have to lie to arthur? Why did Francis went through the trouble of fooling Arthur in seeing him as a baby? That’s the real question
If you get the right angle of the burned trees it spells WHY when you look at it also if you stand there during a thunderstorm lighting will hit and kill you thought I would throw that in to help you dig deeper into it love the videos as always keep up the great work. And Thanks
I've talked about this 2 years ago on TH-cam. I played the game when it came out. I think it was Strange Man's channel, when he did a video about this. I'm doing another playthrough now. If lightning hits that spot at the same time every time. Use a covered wagon, they have protection, you can use them to go into Blackwater as Author. But you need to be going full speed ,as in Back to the future, when lightning strikes.
The Adventurous Life of Hugh O'Kane Hugh O’Kane was a man of many adventures and achievements. Born in 1854 in Bushmills, Ireland, he began his life of adventure by hiding aboard a ship bound for New York at the age of 12. During his life, he traveled the world, accumulating incredible stories which he told with humor and detail. In 1903 he moved to Bend, Oregon, where he became a respected and recognized figure. He opened “The Office” saloon in 1904, which was later replaced by a hotel and bar after a fire. Hugh O'Kane also played a key role in the founding of St. Charles Hospital in 1917 and the beautiful St. Francis Church in 1920. He lived until 1930 and left a large donation for the construction of the first parochial school in Oregon.
Searched it up… “You would think I’m jazzed” Arthur responded with “huh?” Because that term/slang wasn’t around or used until 1910. Arthur dies in 1899.
Its crazy that as soon as you walk out in confusion you can walk right back in the house for the old compass to find the mother and francis both vanished or disappeared i never waited a day to go back after talking with her 😮
It's an epic game of such depth and intrigue. The puzzles are brilliant. I don't know how they did it. How many man hours would it take? How many people would be involved? How do they coordinate and bring it all together? It's just amazing. I've been looking for these rock sculptures and I have only found a couple of them. You have to go to very difficult places which you have no logical reason to go to so you don't. You have to use a guide.
Nice theory, well found! Regarding the ship there is that possibillity that its not a viking ship since it dont really look like a dragon ship. My guess is that it is spanish/portugese (Perhaps Colombus?)
Yes that all makes sense, I always thought Francis came back in time to save his dad maybe, the mural always reminds me of the mural at bottom of mount chiliad, they both got the all seeing eye
I am glad to see someone within the Red Dead community is making use of an old post written by me, about two-three years ago, in which I deduced possible meanings behind every little symbol on the mural.
All 10 rock carvings are in the game from the moment you start playing. But you can only access 9 of the 10 before talking to Francis Sinclair. That interaction unlocks the 10th so that you can complete the story, enter his home and collect a special item off the table.

Also I know it is your wheelhouse not mine to give insight and overveiw that helps players still roaming in the game.
I don't have much evidence for this, but its the only thing that remotely makes sense to me: Francis is stuck in a time loop either because of a deal he made with the strange man, or because he is trying to escape him. As we know with Herbert Moon, the strange man is no stranger to faustian bargains. Francis may have wished to never die, so Strange Man sends him into a purgatory-like time loop where he constantly lives his life time traveling, is sent back to being a child, repeat. Or, he somehow found this on his own and came to the conclusion this is the only way to avoid death. My only evidence is this: we don't know of anyone else in Red Dead besides the Strange Man that can traverse time and space that way. That's it, I have nothing else really backing this claim unfortunately. Weak theory, but I don't know what else would ever make sense. It's not like Francis comes off as a tortured soul at all. If anything, he seems to be enjoying himself more than most folk. But there's still so many questions: why doesn't the mom care about the insane mural on her wall? How/why do they disappear? Who made the rock carvings in the first place? If it wasn't Francis that made them, then that means someone else out there has knowledge of future events yet to pass. And he doesn't seem to know where they are, so it likely was not Francis. Who else is seeing the future then?: we have the blind man and the soothsayer, neither of which seem adept at carving rocks. Their vision into the future also doesn't seem to go as far into history as the rock carvings. Why doesn't Francis's cabin show up on the map like all other buildings in the game? Is the cabin in the wrong time/place as well as Francis himself? What about his mother? She doesn't seem to be lost at all, time or location. I don't think the baby is actually a doll, it might just be asset reuse since as far as I know, there aren't any other actual babies anywhere in the game. But there are dolls, so they probably just took the model from the doll to went off of that, instead of making a new baby from scratch.
